September 24, 200618 yr Author  I can't remember them by names, but I was touched by that woman in the wheel chair  She was good but I don't like how everyone's going on the show and listing their illnesses/problems before they sing. It feels a bit cheap to me.
September 24, 200618 yr Yep I agree, she had an amazing voice though, that's what I liked. I hate it when they do sob stories :(
September 24, 200618 yr Author Yes. And sometimes so sloppily. "What an unusual song" "Oh it's my mum's song. We played it at her funeral. She's dead. My mother's dead! Put me through!" I've had a rubbish night. I should have gone to bed straight after The X Factor and that would have been much better. Night old bean.
September 28, 200618 yr Author Other Mariah mentions during the audition stages: - One girl said she loved rock music. Sharon looked enthused and asked what song she was going. This girl said 'Mariah Carey - 'Hero". Sharon was less enthused, - Paris (that 14 year-old opera singer) was praised because every other 16 year-old girl comes and sings 'Hero'
September 28, 200618 yr I want someone to sing Emotions, someone did on Malaysian idol and she did the whistle notes :arr:
September 30, 200618 yr Author 'Emotions' would be amazing audition if you could do it. I doubt ANYONE who auditioned for the UK edition can borrow from the whistle register.
September 30, 200618 yr Author Boot Camp 1: Nothing. Just a background play of 'Hero'. Though her 'Against All Odds' collaborator Kian was there being the glamorous face of comfort eating.
September 30, 200618 yr 2nd Episode: 2 people sang hero so far, one was really good, 2nd was quite bad...
September 30, 200618 yr Author Rudy has not made the final 8 which is a shame as I quite fancy him. I now fancy at least one of the boyband Avenue. Hoorah! Anyway the recap....
September 30, 200618 yr Author Bootcamp week: Simon's group - A black girl with gorgeous hair did a great cover of 'Hero'. Her audition was excellent so this was not that surprising but it's rare to see someone, especially on this show, do a good 'Hero' - A white girl did a $h!t version - A lighter-skinned girl (the one with the dead mother) did on okay at best cover. Tonight's X-Factor taught us all not to be racist as clearly the blacker you are the better your version of Hero will be
September 30, 200618 yr Author PS They all got through. Obviously doing a cover of 'Hero' impresses the masterminds behind Zig&Zag and 'So Macho'
