well i did read that mariah will be on the x-factor, and they probs might do what they done tonight :D

If she does appear, she'll either perform one of her recent hits (WBT, ILT, etc) or she will perform Hero as that song seems to appear quite a lot in the series already.

Leona sang 'I'll Be There'. It had the same vocal arrangement as Mariah's version.

The same shudderring 'yeah-yeah-yeah' bits for example.

 

After this performance, Louis said 'don't oversing like Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera'. Fool.

I cant stand it when people do it :lol: My mum and dad notice it to, they dont end up singing they end up shouting down the mic :lol:

Yeah I was watching it and I said to David "I hope she sings a Mariah song!" and he said "Kelly she's not gonna sing a Mariah song it's Motown week" so I was quite depressed about that and then when she sang I'll Be There I almost died laughing. :lol:

 

I completely agree with Tim, she didn't sing The Jackson 5 version, it was a copy of Mariah's version. Oh and yeah Louis Walsh, get back to your talentless hermets on stools eh? :angry:

:D its generally a good performance she only misses a few notes obviously down to nerves and her first time performing on stage to millions......

Ray was far worse than the Macdonalds IMO. They are better singers (I know they are still karaoke/cruise ship types but so is Ray - at least they're in tune) and do not look like child Elvis impersonators.

 

Dionne was good. I think she's too talented to do well in this contest. She's a great singer and/so no-one feels sorry enough for her to vote.

 

(Her being a black woman does not bode too well for her either. Despite being hugely popular, Rowetta, Brenda and Maria never made the final.)

I love Leona, that preformance was amazing, with more vocal coaching she could be so brilliant - not that she isn't allready!

 

I agree with what you say though Tim, it's not talent that wins these contests, it's who people fancy and feel sorry for :(
