New single from Kodaline released a week tomorrow, 23rd June. It's called Brother and was confirmed on their Twitter earlier.

 

Very excited for this, their ~2013 output was amazing so I hope they haven't compromised on quality for this one.

Both their albums to date have been hugely enjoyable but particularly their second album.

opposite for me, much prefer their debut, second album was a bit flat and underwhelming, only The one and Honest were good and even those didn't match their early singles like All I Want and High Hopes

 

there's a live version of Brother on YT and sounds ok but not amazing

 

It would be wonderful if this era kicks ass for them. They need a big hit to help them sell albums in higher numbers.

It's not as instant as 'High Hopes' or 'Honest' but I'm liking it. They'll need some good promotion for this to take off anywhere other than Ireland but I can see it going Top 40 :)

Oh this is incredible! Didn't at all expect it to be as good as it is, it's still not as good as their 2013 output but I'm really loving it :wub:

I didn't pay too much attention to the song at first but omg Kodaline have done it again and made me emotional at their music video. :(

This never took off at the time unfortunately, but I just noticed that it’s now their second most streamed song on Spotify with 240m streams!

Its a shame they didnt have much bigger success in the UK, they have done great here in Ireland but i think going forward they will really struggle in the UK unless something unexpectedly takes off for them.

I was the biggest fan, even saw them when they didn't have an album out

but the quality went downhill so fast, I don't even recognise their music anymore

album 1 is a masterpiece, album 2 is so-so, big loss of quality already,

but album 3 is straight to the garbage can album

last year they played here again and passed cos they are really one of the biggest musical disappointments in recent years to me
