August 29, 20177 yr I'm guessing early next year followed by the album which makes perfect sense, especially if she goes far in Strictly. 'Hair Down' should technically still be getting pushed until November, we're not going to get a new single in December, right? She will get SWALLOWED up.
August 29, 20177 yr 'Hair Down' will go ahead as planned, she's put it all over twitter etc. The new interview could have been an old interview, this all does seem to be a rather rushed release to help her profile during Strictly etc. Edited August 29, 20177 yr by WallIsSoGood

August 29, 20177 yr The album isn't ready though? I would release the album but I doubt Island have enough faith in her and they could lose a fair amount of money. If this flops, the songs planned for the album can go elsewhere. Edited August 29, 20177 yr by WallIsSoGood

If this flops, the songs planned for the album can go elsewhere. it basically all depends on how this single does! 'Back To You' really only flopped due to no airplay so maybe her being on Strictly will help that, just need a raunchy bop from her tbh *.*
August 30, 20177 yr The interview says follow up. So I guess it's the follow up to Hair Down? Also if she released another single but no album this year then that's potentially four pre album singles. A third single followed by an album in January or February would be good.
August 30, 20177 yr Realistically, releasing an album in the 4th quarter would just kill her. She's a girl group member from a so-so-successful group trying to make it. There's a reason why Back To You wasn't followed by an album and why there's a year wait between the singles. Obviously, her label wants to go for the one-two punch, potentially three. Even if this is successful I wouldn't except an album before March 2018. Mid-February at a push. Edited August 30, 20177 yr by tommie
August 30, 20177 yr Author I wouldn't object to Q1 release for the album as that would allow time for the follow up to Hair Down (if released) and time for her to finish the album. Still excited for Friday though :cheer:

Still excited for Friday though :cheer: Well, from what I hear Hair Down won't fail because of the quality of the track. It's actually probably quite decent. If her album follows suit then it might be quite good aye :arrr:
August 30, 20177 yr I agree with you tommie, there's nothing to be gained from a Q4 album release for Mollie. I love her but let's be real. Even though this Q4 is set to be quieter than previous years this year, she would still struggle partly because of her credentials - as you say, member of a girl group who were successful but hardly lit the world alight outside the UK. The sensible thing to do is to get this single out there, and get another one ready to go for after Strictly in January, along with the album. Emma Bunton's 'Life in Mono' got released quite late into Q4 whilst she did Strictly in 2006. 'Downtown' was a big hit because of it's Children in Need connection, yes, but the album foundered, as all the promo was channeled into the single and she had her training for every week to do. Sophie Ellis-Bextor on the other hand waited until Q1 in the new year to release her 'Wanderlust' album after she did Strictly in 2013 and got her biggest album since her debut, just by releasing it when she did, because the profile and interest was still there but she was able to commit herself to promoting and touring it properly. It's all about timing.
August 30, 20177 yr Author Well, from what I hear Hair Down won't fail because of the quality of the track. It's actually probably quite decent. If her album follows suit then it might be quite good aye :arrr: Where have you been hearing about the quality of the track? I've been hoping for a snippet. I have been expecting snippets as well. She was brilliant at teasing in the few days before the release of Back To You on Instagram and Twitter so I expected her to do the same here.
August 30, 20177 yr Author That preview though!!! Beat me to it Bryan :( Edited August 30, 20177 yr by Saenerys
August 30, 20177 yr Author You ask and she Facebooks a preview! Maybe shes actually on Buzzjack! :o :kink:
August 31, 20177 yr Those horns are giving me That's My Girl teas and this is indeed reminiscent of the Spice Girls or even Girls Aloud. Sounds like a bop (and dare I say a smash) and the video looks promising as well! Less than 24 hours now. Edited August 31, 20177 yr by (Zach)
