February 14, 20187 yr Author A second film in this alternate continuity has been confirmed. It will be released in Japan on July 13th 2018. I've just recently watched this first film and it's visually stunning and a great retelling of the Kanto story. I'm sort of glad it was completely different for the majority of the film but some of the interpretations of the Kanto era felt rushed (e.g. Butterfree leaving - but I still wanted to cry )
