November 22, 20177 yr Author Quickstep to The Baseballs' version of Umbrella this week! Was initially excited about the song choice but just heard that version for the first time and it's awful. Might be one of the only times the Strictly singer sounds better than the original.

November 25, 20177 yr Author Has the Paso Doble-a-thon been set in stone for weeks or did they just now make it that after knowing it was Mollie's lowest scoring dance...? The odds have truly been against her this season and still making 7th is quite impressive.
November 25, 20177 yr They do it with a different dance each year, I very much dobt it's just for their non-existent Mollie agenda :lol: I won't actually be fussed if she goes this week, sure Susan should go before her and SURELY this is her time, but apart from Susan everyone left is better than Mollie. If she was on the same level, or better than, Gemma/Davood/Joe who she started in the same sort of tier as, she'd be up there with them now. I thnk she WAS on their level and could have been still on there level but she's just stagnated for the past 4 or 5 weeks. Sure Davood, Joe and Gemma have all had their bad weeks where Mollie topped them on the board, but even Alexandra (Mollie was aboveher when there were 3 judges) and Debbie have had bad weeks. Mollie had like.. a bad month and I don't buy into the judges having some agenda and marking her down, they're professionals and know what they are marking, she's still making little mistake that the others don't. Sure maybe they sometimes under mark her by like one or two, but for example with her Paso she was 16 behind Davood and 11 behind Joe, that wasn't her being undermarked, it was her not being good enough :lol: If she kept improving the rate she was for the first 3 or 4 weeks, she'd be up there too but she just isn't for whatever reason. It would lowkey be amaze though if there was another shock and like Gemma/Joe fell below her in the scoreboard in the dance-off :rofl: Preferably Joe as I love Gemma. Just because Strctly is light family entrtainment doesn't mean we can't have the shock and drama :kink:
November 25, 20177 yr Author I was partly kidding, but it does seem to fall in line with how her luck has been! Of course there is a very good chance Mollie will be in the dance off, but I am hopeful for another shock elimination. It's sort of nice knowing Susan is still in with Mollie as it gives her a bit of cushion. I don't personally care for Gemma but I do think she's a shoe in for the finals. If there is a shock elimination, I see it being Debbie or Joe.

November 25, 20177 yr I'm leaning towards Debbie for shock as well, I think viewers are a bit harsh on her (ballet is so different to like Latin) but it was a bit offputting even for me as someone who loves her that she was like that to being bottom 2. Plus for her to land in the bottom 2 as soon as she slipped on the board for pretty much the first time she can't have been high in the voting consistently. She was bottom 4 on the scoreboard, it's not that much of a stretch for her to be bottom 2 :lol: I can't see her messing up enough to be below Mollie for Mollie to knock her out though, if Mollie survives this week (I'm sure Debbie will get rebound this week.)
November 25, 20177 yr Author Glad they don't have the death slot again although going after Joe, who is also doing a Quickstep, could work against them.
November 25, 20177 yr Joe's quickstep was amazing, not great for her! I think it could be Gemma in danger with a Samba, Sambas are like a curse this season as both Debbie and Alexandra had much lower scores than normal with them. Mollie could pull an upset with her but I'd rather Gemma stayed over Mollie.
November 25, 20177 yr Author Wow, so happy that they've gotten a 9 and their highest overall score to date! Shame they were only one point shy of tying Alexandra but hopefully their progress is enough for the public/judges to want to keep them in.
November 25, 20177 yr 31, almost :drama: I think after their comments Darcey and Craig could have gone up to an 8 really :lol: But she got her first 9! Gemma was a bit of a disaster this week so if Mollie is bottom 2 with her she'll get through. I can see her being ok after that but it depends if Susan has one of her great moments I suppose, I can't see her getting much more than like 29/30 if she does anyway.
November 25, 20177 yr Mollie should have scored 33 (a 8 from Darcey and a 9 from Shirley). I can't believe two of these judges literally spent like 5 minutes of their time telling HOW MUCH she made progress, that the strides were HUGE, the improvement was ENORMOUS..........and then score her exactly the same as last week. It's getting tiring.
November 25, 20177 yr That's one thing thatannoys me on this show, I won't comment on scoring really as I'm not a professional and have no idea what I'm talking about, but often for the lower scored contestants, they'll be like "that was amazing, I loved it, can't fault it you've come on leaps and bounds" but give them 7 :lol: If you are going to give 7 and think the dance deserved 7 don't say how it was such an improvement from last time and then give her the same as last time.
November 25, 20177 yr omg she actually did well. I am surprised by Craig & Darcey’s scores! I think viewers are a bit harsh on her (ballet is so different to like Latin) I do know what you’re saying but the ballet is definitely the cause of all her strong points! She always gets commented on her legs and tonight Shirley commented on her balance, both are the two main elements (in my limited knowledge) of ballet!
November 25, 20177 yr Author Even if they are the two lowest scoring I see Susan and Gemma both evading the dance off as they're seemingly the two most popular contestants. If Mollie ends up in there, she'll sadly be sent packing against any of the others.
