December 3, 20177 yr Author Did she basically just admit that she didn't want the Sats to go on hiatus?
December 3, 20177 yr Pleased for her making the semi, I think she was better than Davood and Gemma last night do did avoid bottom 2 rightfully. I think she has the Waltz and Samba next week thinking of what she has done? So oh dear at the Samba but then we all thought the Rumba would be a disaster and she got her highest score with it (well if it wasn't just 3 judges for her VW she would have got 32)! Waltz should be fine as her VW was stunning, ik they aren't the same but at least she has one of the elegant ballroom dances she is better at.
December 3, 20177 yr Waltz should be fine as her VW was stunning, ik they aren't the same but at least she has one of the elegant ballroom dances she is better at. In practice, it has different steps and figures (Natural turns, reverse fleckerls, cross-body lead, etc VS The double reverse spins, reverse turns, whisks, etc) but at the end of the day it's very similar still, so Mollie should do fine and learn that one pretty fast, unlike the other contestants who have harder dances to learn (but they are also more entertaining than the Waltz, so Mollie might still be loosing here, as it's not like the Waltz would be buying her votes) Some people are not ruling the possiblity of an Argentine Tango. It could only work if she has nice balance - which has been tested in the past. I would say that the Argentine Tango is a better "votes-catcher" but then Davood found himself in the bottom two this week with the said dance.
December 3, 20177 yr AT would be awful I feel, but as with the Samba we said that about the Rumba and it was fine. None of the options seem that appealing on paper but if we've learned one thing from Mollie it's not to judge what she's gonna be like on paper or she'd have came like 11th lmao
December 3, 20177 yr No matter what dance they do, they have to realize they need to work 10x harder than the other contestants. They have the journey angle and with contestants like Gemma plateauing, there are so many things in their favor that it would be catastrophic if they f*ck up.
December 3, 20177 yr They do have the journey angle in their favour and I’m surprised how well Mollie has done in connecting with the public recently, they need to continue pushing her and AJ though.
December 3, 20177 yr Author They do have the journey angle in their favour and I’m surprised how well Mollie has done in connecting with the public recently, they need to continue pushing her and AJ though. For me, it's baffling that it took the public so long to connect with her in the first place as I find her to be so incredibly likable. I remember everyone finding Mollie to be the most memorable and likable member when Chasing the Sats aired here.
December 3, 20177 yr Kind of annoying when Claudia was talking to the judges they spoke about them all minus Mollie!
December 5, 20177 yr Author I have a weird feeling that Debbie and Alexandra are going to be in the dance off this week.
December 5, 20177 yr I think it's a bit of a shame that Rochelle has completely missed out on supporting Mollie on Strictly ever since that stunt in Week 4 where she basically said "Nah, actually Marvin and I support Ruth trollolol!!", yet she's going through so many lengths to support Vanessa on I'm A Celeb. Like I understand that Vanessa might need it more, but I find it sad. Frankie is doing a decent job at supporting both, Una as well more or less.
December 5, 20177 yr Author It is a bit sad. Although I guess I see how it could be awkward for Rochelle and Marvin with the whole Mollie vs. Aston thing. It also seems that as a couple they've always been closer with Aston than Mollie. It's apparent that some of the girls have stayed closer than others since the hiatus. Frankie and Mollie obviously have the closest friendship while Rochelle doesn't seem to interact with those two much at all. Rochelle also seems to be the only one really close with Vanessa.
December 5, 20177 yr Its interesting seeing it all like this but the receipts in their WhatsApp group would be interesting
December 5, 20177 yr It was very obvious (I was just in denial, hoping for an AT lmao), but Mollie confirmed her second dance is indeed the Samba. Also said that it's "mindblowingly hard" which is exactly what I expected. :/
December 5, 20177 yr Joe is basically the only one all series who didn't flounder with a Samba :drama: Well, Alexandra and Debbie still got early 30s (Alexandra 23 but with the 4 judges it would've gone up to like 30 or 31) but still lower than they normally do. Although really I feel like Mollie was damn lucky to get this far without doing a Samba tbh.
December 5, 20177 yr I'm not 100% sure on this, so don't @ me , but I think Samba is (rightfully) the most skipped dance in Strictly, and I sure as hell get why. But yeah everyone in the competition, but Mollie, has done one. So I suppose it was her time. Edited December 5, 20177 yr by Hurricane
December 5, 20177 yr I can see that being true, I kinda hate Sambas  She's dancing to Wherever Wherever *.* And her Waltz is to Angel to Sarah McLachlan which should be fab *.*
December 5, 20177 yr Her song choices are legit AMAZING. 'Angel' is a beautiful song, perfect for the Waltz. It could be gorgeous. I can see them ending in a fake snog to get the rumors starting again. 'Whenever, Wherever' is obviously a bop, and has the perfect feel for the Samba, but I'm still scared because it's the Samba  I truly hope she's working on her balance...
December 6, 20177 yr Author Yes, amazing song choices! I don't even care what score she gets, seeing Mollie samba to Whenever, Wherever will be the highlight of the season for me.
