I've said it before but P!nk being underappreciated/overlooked has actually helped her to have consistent success as there's less pressure on the need to succeed. Take Katy/Lady Gaga as examples, there was so much focus on them that it meant that one wrong move really harmed/is harming their careers.

This is really true, I feel like P!nk could have a flop single and be completely unaffected by it whereas the same can't be said for the likes of Katy Perry etc...

Story of her life tbh. Despite being consistantly successful and delivering hits and high selling albums, people always fail to recognise her as a major player.

Maybe in some way being the underdog (if you will) and not having the primary focus in a way has enabled her to keep the sustained success that she has?

*edit - also seen someone else made the exact same point above.

That's surprising

Suppose this far into its chart run 59p doesn't have as much effect?

It really does. I mean, I know sales are a lot less than they use to be, but it can really give some songs an edge, Power went from #10 to #6 for example, Symphony managed to sneak in at #1, Rita Ora had much better longevity,

I always thought it was like a live performance of an already established track which would have minimal effect. Suppose it would help to garner more sales!
YESSSSS! So gutted P!nk didn't release tomorrow so she'd get a full week for her debut but so happy to see she's #1! Really different sounding track for her but so so good! I can't help but think it sounds like something else but I don't know what yet!
I think Pink could be no1 next week depending on streams with the low sales we have at present!
Amazing comeback from Pink. I hope she nabs another #1. Coming back with another SW/BMOLK type track wouldn't have worked.

Far too soon to say. Could yet perform similarly to "The Cure".

Pink doesn't seem to be doing as well in the US.

Just thinking... it's so rare that a female approaching 40 does well in the charts. I reckon it has an insta-add on R1 too.

Insane for P!nk :o :o I don't think she'll fall as quickly as Gaga because she's less of a fanbase act, although it will of course struggle to keep such a lead. A top 5 debut for her would be amazing!
