Going to start a prediction thread for Sam Smith's new album which comes out in September. I'm guessing we'll get a lead single but I don't think that has been announced yet!

 

Some say it will do an Emeli Sandé, but I don't think so. With the right song he could do well again.

think he'll sell around 70-80k. the lead single will probably do about 40k.

I think he'll do around 83k.

The only thing that makes me think he may not do an Emeli Sandé is because he had such a huge level of worldwide success that she didn't quite have, and plus he's not waited as long. Interested to see how it does in the long term though.

 

I may wait until a bit closer to the time before I lobby a prediction.

I hate him but I also think he's gonna do well... don't think he's gonna do an Emeli Sande either

especially if he does the collab with Clean Bandit first, then his single, then the album

Ideally hed do a Duffy let alone an Emeli Sande for the 2nd era, but I think he'll avoid that because as said he was more popular WW etc. It'll debut with about 65k I think.

I think 60k - 62k for Sam. How they do the release, and the single quality to run with the Album could affect the sales a fair bit.

I think I wait a bit before I decide, as he might do an Ed Sheeran :thinking:
