The Killers frontman thinks the punk rockers could learn a thing or two about patriotism from his band.

Now over his tiff with emo bands Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco, Brandon Flowers is taking aim at Green Day over what he feels was an anti-American action. The Killers frontman is mad as hell that Green Day filmed their DVD, Bullet in a Bible, in England. "You have Green Day and 'American Idiot.' Where do they film their DVD? In England," Flowers told U.K.'s The Word. "A bunch of kids screaming 'I don't want to be an American idiot' -- I saw it as a very negative thing towards Americans...[T]hose kids aren't taking it the same way that he meant it. And [billie Joe Armstrong] knew it."

While Flowers said he's sure that Green Day meant the sentiment "in the same way that Bruce Springsteen meant 'Born in the U.S.A.,'" he's still pretty certain the Killers' new album, Sam's Town, is much more patriotic. "People need to see that, really, there are the nicest people in the world here!" Flowers said. "I don't know if our album makes you realize that. But I hope it's from a more positive place."

Thoughts on this?

Who cares what he thinks, maybe he should spend less time moaning about decent bands and more time working on his own $h!t.
the killers are utter trash and to even compare green day to them is an insult, the killers are garbage green day are not, dont dare compare these again, how insulting can you be.
i dont mind the killers at all,i much prefer green day but i liked som eof the killers singles of the first album

i like both bands but brandon makes a small point, why would green day one of America's biggest bands make a video in England...obviously they have their reasons so i respect that

but if the killers call greenday un-american, thats just hypocritical...i mean the clip for "When you were young" has a mexican setting, so isnt brandon going in circles
