Meh, was hoping for something more as I really loved the video for 'Most Girls'

Still, an amazing song. One of my favourites this year, such a shame it's not going to be a hit :(. I actually think 'Starving' is her weakest!

All I’m saying is Hailee Steinfeld is going to struggle, in my opinion, to have a lasting career as I think she’s just perceived by the general public as another singer who jumps on trends and never really forms her own identity as a recording artist.

I think more than anything, maybe she just got extremely lucky with 'Starving' and no one really cares aside from that.

(I do think 'Most Girls' was quite a shoddy way to follow up a smash hit though).

So this isn't the official video, Hailee filmed it the other day! :o

The official video is here! Hailee looks incred.

Slowly creeping up the charts, would love if this could go Top 40!

Video is okay, she looks really good I guess.

Added to Hot Hits! Creeping closer to Top 50 as well on Spotify, looks like it should at the very least go Top 40 here :D.

She always seems to be very late in getting a hit from initial release - 'Starving' and 'Most Girls' didn't hit their peaks until months later and the same looks set to happen to 'Let Me Go' now too!

Yas!!!

Still wanting a Love Myself re-release

Okay I am absolutely loving this right now *.* I've found everything she's done since "Love Myself" basic and no idea how she managed to get such a big hit with "Starving" in particular but now this and "Capital Letters" are both tunes.
All her songs have been amazing. Hailee and Sigrid are saving pop

Still struggling to understand her as an artist?

I mean she has had a couple songs that were OK but none of the songs really have the same connection?

I think this is pretty lazy, she's just a solid pop artist?

I would say many pop artists don't have a definitive sound - look at Rita Ora, Demi, Cheryl, Zara ...

And same UV, Let Me Go is still such a bop

Hailee's team is just smart with finding producers that can compliment her voice. She's only had one huge smash ("Starving") and that was dance-pop and everything else since then has been experimenting and trying to find that sweet spot. She has shown that she's versatile, and versatility is key, especially at a time when so many genres are merging into one.

The only thing that doesn't help is that she's more of a "sleeper hit" artist.

I've not paid much attention to this until the past week or two tbh

Now hitting me alongside "Capital Letters" which is also great.

I wasn't too fussed on "Most Girls" - it was nice enough but so basic.

He’s just making ‘out there statements’ to get a reaction.

Hailee is clearly doing for a pure pop sound

Legit

Also this and Starving have a similar sound then Most Girls is a bit EDM/tropical, they're hardly worlds apart. Capital Letters is but she can't release the same song all the time.

Not really considering many people have said it

"Many" being one persom on this thread

Fair enough if you don't like it or her but it's a stupid criticism given lots of popular artists don't really have a defined sound as said. That's part of being a pop artist, you can't always release the same songs all the time.
