Following the conclusion of her show, Megan released the two tracks last night which have already impacted iTunes this morning! Two solid country songs here, don't be put off by the artist's background.

Wait these are actually really really good

"High Heeled Shoes" is a really good song. The lyrics are very relevant to feminism/everyday sexism, I'm surprised it's not a theme that's really been explored like she has in this to be honest! "Far Cry from Love" is a lot more generic but not a bad song by any means.

High Heeled Shoes is really good, I can imagine someone like Jana Kramer or Kellie Pickler having an actual country hit with that!

Echoing the surprise love for this! I quite like her on her reality shows and knew she'd shown her voice off before but I wasn't expecting her to be actually given good material to work with too so good on her. "High Heeled Shoes" is definitely my favourite of the two but both are really nice. I wonder if this a sneak peek for a potential EP or something else on the horizon?

 

Hope this can make the top 40, would be great if she could be taken as a serious singer too in the future.
