Famous Last Words is the next single apparantly, they made a video already. I don't know if it sounds like single material myself.

maybe its good scheduling. pick one thats not so much a single, put it on the back of a massive no1 and big album and see it explode into the charts

I know I'm bumping very old topic, but lately I love few songs from this album.

I Don't Love You  , Famous Last Words, The Sharpest Lives, Welcome To The Black Parade, Teenagers...

Wanted also to share those two live videos:

I love it. :P  What do you think of it? :)

Ok  , your opinion. -_-

Haha I love them - I own all 3 albums but the second one is still my favourite even though there are some great tracks on this one. I really am pleased 'Teenagers' is the next single.

Gerrard - I love him. :( And 'I Don't Love You' I think is my favourite song by them. <3

You know I remember in 2005 when they weren't as big everyoen was bigging them up but as soon as they get a #1 single etc they're the most hated thing on the block.

NO NO NO NO NO

why haven't i seen (and moved) this $h!te before hand?

It goes to the indie alternative section... if they don't like don't send it back here cos if you do it'll go in the trash... where it should be.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions About Buzzjack.com

Q1) Why do you have forum rules?

Answer:

The forum rules are in place so that the people can have a good time posting and taking part in discussions that interest them in a friendly atmosphere. Respect the opinions of others, agree to disagree when differences present themselves, and never ever make things personal. Otherwise, moderators may have to step in and take action.

Q2) I should be allowed to tell other people their opinions are stupid, call them morons and state my own opinion as absolute fact, shouldn't I?

Answer:

Well, not really. It's rude for a start - don't talk down to your fellow posters, don't lecture them, and don't state your opinion as fact. If you disagree with someone's opinion or wish to point out that they've made an error, then attempt to do it without getting personal or snotty. Discussion about areas of common interest is supposed to be fun, it's not supposed to be the written equivalent of a bar fight.

If you're having a problem keeping your temper under control, take a deep breath, and refrain from posting a reply until you do. Flaming other poster's opinions on a regular basis will only end badly for you.

me or tiger tit?

John, that's a bit out of order mate... He's not being abusive or nasty to you...

I do agree with the move for the thread though, MCR is blatantly neither Metal nor Punk, Emo is an offshoot of "alternative", with a small 'a'....

nah should be in the pop. it is unfair for the punk/metal area to have such a narrow demographic and not have the same thing in here:

It's not a narrow demographic mate.. the Metal/Punk area would include all the sub-genres of Heavy Metal (Old Skool, Thrash, Nu Metal, Gothic Metal, Goth Rock, Prog Metal, Rap Metal, Symphonic Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Industrial Metal..) and Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Cheese Rock, Rock Chicks, 80s Hair Rock (not including Bon Jovi though cos that's just a bit too Pop...), Grunge, the more 'metally' end of Alternative like Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle, etc.... Industrial and Goth could also be slotted in there cos it wont fit anywhere else and it is certainly more 'underground' than Emo or Pop Punk... the Punk end would include Classic Punk Rock, Hardcore Punk, Underground Punk, Straight-Edge Punk, the only line that should be drawn would be Pop Punk or Emo.... I dont see anything narrow about that demographic at all, I reckon it's a lot more encompassing than most Forums tbh, me and John just dont particularly want the more mainstream stuff in there....

And I still say MCR is more metal / punk than indie / alternative. If I were a mod I'd have shoved this straight back.

The fact the subject was created in the punk / metal section suggests the poster thought so too.

When can we start having subforums on here? Can't we create a 'Guitar pop' board for this stuff?

Sorry, I just don't agree... The Emo scene was a direct offshoot of American Alternative/Lo-Fi/Indie Rock in the mid-90s, it has precious little to do with 'Punk' as such (bands like System of a Down and Amen have more right to call themselves Punk than MCR do)... Sure, MCR have had a few covers on Kerrang and Metal Hammer, but so have bands like The Mars Volta and Fall Out Boy, and I doubt really that either of us would regard those as 'Metal' or 'Punk' as such...

I just think you have to draw a line somewhere, and MCR is that line....

with reference to the The Essential Q Quiz Book page 112 & 155:

some questions and answers to the Metal category:

1. what band did david coverdale front during the 1980s? A. Whitesnake

2. What was the name of motley crue's autobiography? A The Dirt

5. Whose first album was Eat em and smile? A. David Lee Roth

25. Which metaller was born Stanley Eisen? A Paul Stanleyo of Kiss

Now how many of these acts would be moved??? when they can be put under Metal and if any of these act appeared in the Metal area, were they moved by John???

the thing is the indie area and metal area have to be of equal standing and not just a personal fiefdom of ones self and own likes and dislikes. It has to be as wide as possible so its easy to find things. Obv its a fareness between the two area, so you say you are not gonna have Bon Jovi, well i guess there might be a few people who think this is still heavy metal, let it in, however if we are gonna go that way and use that criteria Ocean Colour Scene will have to come back to the britpop/indie section which was got rid of because if the metal area was gonna get rid of the too pop stuff/hair metal it was only fare that OCS the dadrock which is far too BBC R2 was gone to. Tho OCS is probs more

And I still say MCR is more metal / punk than indie / alternative. If I were a mod I'd have shoved this straight back.

with reference to wiki

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/61/Kerranghim.jpg

Kerrang! is a British music magazine. The magazine's title is onomatopoeic and derives from the noise putatively made by playing a power chord on an electric guitar.[2]

Edited by Geoff Barton, Kerrang! began life in June 1981 initially as a one off supplement in the Sounds newspaper devoted to the burgeoning New Wave of British Heavy Metal (or NWOBHM for short) and the rise of other hard rock acts such as AC/DC, who appeared on Kerrang!’s first cover.

so Kerrang! is generally seen as a magazine aimed toward more of a metal demographic.

Issue 1156 has these acts named on its cover:

Rage against the machine, Paramore, HIM, AFI, The Used, The All-American Rejects, Enter Shikari, Machine Head (Live Poster Special), Fall Out Boy (Live Poster Special), FFAF, Trivium, Within Temptation, Green day, deftones, gojira, cancer bats plus you get a selection of stickers feat P Stump, FOB, Machine Head, and MCR's The Black Parade.

The fact the subject was created in the punk / metal section suggests the poster thought so too.

When can we start having subforums on here? Can't we create a 'Guitar pop' board for this stuff?

now obv there will be huge fest in the world which mix metal, dance, indie and Ocean Colour Scene but obv most are tailed to a certain demographic, tageting certain urban tribes and clients.

with reference back to Download we can see that the Trembling Blue Stars, I'm From Barcelona, Stephin Merritt, the Field Mice and Tilly and The Wall are all missing form the line-up which shouldnt be the case if MCR are headlining.
