The more I've heard the Troye single, the more I realise it's not a track I'm likely to *love*. It's good, but it's not his best. It's still enjoyable though :)

same here, it's a 9/10 rather than a 10/10 like Youth etc

I have to agree with the above, My My My aged quite fast for me. I think I got swept up in the hype a bit because I love him/Blue Neighborhood so much. But it's quite quite meh for him compared to his other singles.

Anyway, when is the next single?!

^same happened to me, I think I wanted it to like it so much, that kinda clouded my judgement, but definitely it's not as good as the 1st album singles

I'm still loving 'My My My!'! Troye brought that catchy, fun and carefree bop!

Blue Neighbourhood is of course fantastic and one of my favourite albums in recent years, but I feel that My My My! has added to his small body of work in a positive way, by exploring a different mood and sound. I'd be very happy if his second album is a balance between this new-found upbeat/liberated Troye, and some reflective/deep Blue Neighbourhood-esque moments.

I'm hoping for more powerfully deep stuff like on "Blue Neighbourhood" in whatever style he's going for in 2018; "My My My" just feels so 2D in comparison. Still not saying I dislike it by any means though.
I've had a weird relationship with 'My My My!'. I loved it at first, then went off it quite a bit but now really enjoy it if I only give it occasional listens.

The U-GO-BOY Remix is what I've been listening to since stopping with the main version:

Joe, you're deleted.

This is still such a comeback. Sure it doesn't reach the emotional dizzying highs of Blue Neighbourhood but if we compare everything to that, there's no way he could ever continue as an artist. The other promo song(?) was quite bad, but this is still a statement. The passion in the music video ALONE is enough to make this essential, never mind how explosive the chorus is and how empowering the song is as a whole.

I actually prefer this but probably not on the album?

this is more the troye that i like

Yeah seemed okay on first listen. I can see it being included on the album. Stilll waiting for something 10/10 a la "Wild"/"Talk Me Down"/"Youth" but I’m happy enough with what we’ve had so far this year.
I'd actually be surprised if it were on the album. It's essentially a Blue Neighbourhood reject according to Troye. It is good though
Strawberries and Cigarettes is so much better than My My My to me. I love it, it reminds me of Style.

My excitement for this has waned a bit, purely because I don't think he'll be able to create another organically personal album, but still excited somewhat because he's got something to offer that others haven't.
