December 17, 20178 yr Yeh it has me listening to the album again alright! Album of the year for me. I haven't felt that way about other Calvin albums; "18 Months" was proper solid though.

Yeah FWBv1 is a grower of an album. I've only really found "Feels" to be instant (and to an extent "Faking It" and "Hard To Love"). "Slide", "Heatstroke" and "Rollin'" all took a while, as did a few on the album - particularly "Cash Out". But I now think it's his best body of work. It also sets him up to give us future volumes if he ever wants to revisit this retro-urban sound. He will be back with the bangers I'm sure for his next campaign although I think it'll sound quite different to what we've heard before from him and than is currently popular.
