Posted December 15, 20177 yr The WINNER of the World Cup of TV Dramas is.... DOCTOR WHO!!!! 01. Doctor Who 02. Black Mirror 03. Stranger Things 04. Torchwood FINAL 01. Doctor Who: 13 02. Black Mirror: 11 THIRD PLACE 01. Stranger Things: 12 02. Torchwood: 4 After many rounds, we have our winner DOCTOR WHO!! It was a close run battle and Black Mirror had been storming every round whereas Doctor Who almost dropped out to Desperate Housewives!!! In the end though, you voted for the 54 year old show with 839 episodes (try binging that in a weekend!) that has become embedded in our culture with words like TARDIS, Dalek and Sonic Screwdiver being instantly recognisable. Black Mirror did put up a hugely impressive fight though with only 13 episodes so far across 3 series and 13 completely different episodes within those! Would the upcoming fourth series helped or hindered it for the win? For the third place battle, Stranger Things easily beat Torchwood for the bronze position. Thanks to all who voted and participated, it has been great fun to try out this new idea! I would welcome all feedback because I'm very much looking to do another World Cup for another area of TV in the coming months!

December 15, 20177 yr Great to see Doctor Who win. I was hooked on it as soon as I started watching it in 1973 with The Day Of The Daleks. Maybe you could do sitcoms next,Klampus.
