I don't know how he is doing these days, but he is by far the best player I have ever seen in the Conference. He used to play for the team I support (York) and he's far better than some of the other players I have seen that are expected to move on to big things (e.g. Vardy).

he is one of those players that has a good game one week and the next week looks poor. hes still doing an engineering course in york though apparently.

Does he still play as a winger? I'd except nothing less. I can't think of one winger off the top of my head that is consistently good. I always thought his best position was when he played as either a left attacking forward, or just behind the striker.

yeah hes still a winger but he keeps getting pushed out the team by bolasie and adomah. although he scored a goal that was in but was ruled offside against forest on saturday

Not smiled after a Liverpool league result for so long! Mark my words Jordan Henderson will be one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League in 2/3 years time!

He was indeed a delight tonight (and on my FM save!!)..

Keeper problems and another average performance, but a win, and a big one at that! Get up YNWA!

I only saw the 2nd half, but I thought Liverpool were brilliant. 10 men on the field, and every player stood up and was counted. Carroll played a blinder, despite having a wrestling match with their centre back. Agger was the difference once he came on, everyone just looked more comfortable. 3rd choice keeper, 10 men, 2 penalties and Blackburn still couldn't score a winner.

1st half was quite poor, another sending off and some weak defending. Good long ball tactic employed early though to allow Craig and Maxi to exploit Blackburn. Towards the end it was really nail-biting, but Andy scored his 4th league goal (all away btw!) and that gives us some points to add to our tally.

I don't even think Liverpool resorted to the long ball, a few times maybe when there was no other option after good pressing my Blackburn, but we were a man short in midfield so it's always harder to play the ball out of the back. We always looked to play it fast on the counter attack or through the midfield once we had the ball though (Agger was absolute class, I really do think he would be one of the best CBs in the world if injuries hadn't stopped him so much).

I just want this season over now tbh, our campaign has well and truly fizzled out after the O'Neill revival. The players look tired, we're going to need at least 4 or 5 new bodies in the summer (as well as some of the chaff shifting out), let's just limp over the finish line and into midtable, cut our losses and hopefully look forward to a productive summer.

If Liverpool get beat on Saturday (which I am not expecting) then I know how you feel. This is the first time, I think since I've followed Premier League football and watched my team have nothing to play for (I've seen it with York 2/3 times). It's dull, uninteresting and you know the players are only giving half effort as they have one head on their summer holidays and just don't want to get injured. The relegation teams all raise their games, the top teams are still battling for the title/Europe and Everton want more than anything in the world to finish above Liverpool. Either way, I know it is not progress but around December time I honestly did think you might be relegation candidates of Bruce was still in charge, they guy didn't have a clue! Not sure what you'll do in the summer, add a few players and I think you could be 7/8th. Depends whether you manage to keep hold of Sessegnon. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see Liverpool/Spurs/Chelsea take a punt on him.

I know I shouldn't really complain as the last time we were completely clear of relegation by March was back when Reid had us finishing 7th (over a decade ago), we've certainly never been so clear of the muck in my time as a Season Ticket holder anyway. But the players were dead on their feet against Everton, we're crying out for new personnel. 4 of our 5 remaining games are winnable, and in fact i'd even fancy us to nick a point against United on the final day given they've now all but won the league, but I just think it'll be another safe, midtable finish for us. Accept it and move on.

As for Sess, he's such a beautifully gifted footballer, easily the best player we've had during my era, holding on to him will be massive. One thing we do need to cut out if we want to convince him to stay is to stop playing him up front on his own. He's all of 5 feet tall, long balls from the back are going to float over him every single time (as shown against Everton, it was like a training session for Heitinga). He needs a big name to play alongside him really. Two new strikers are an absolute priority in the summer, regardless of who stays or goes.

Haven't seen any highlights of the Eveton-Sunderland game, but I wouldn't take it too badly. Everton wanted it more, simples. The way David Moyes sets up Everton up, and their fans mentality literally is they are obsessed by Liverpool. Any chance to finish higher than them in the table then they will take it. That's why I think they will get beat in the cup final. These big games they're always so blinded by the passion and fire of a derby they actually forget to use their head. It's normally why we beat them.

But that's the main problem I would have if I was a Sunderland fan, and also a lot of other football fans. Getting big name strikers of any sort of calibre is expensive, or complete and utter luck. Newcastle got two of them, but Ba is an injury away from ending his career and I fully expect a bigger club to come in for him. Liverpool need a big name striker too, but right now I have no idea who we'll get. Just really think if you want to move up to the next level as a football club you've got to keep him as he is seriously good. Like I said, wouldn't surrise me at all if a few of the bigger clubs weren't already sniffing around him. Probably have to take the Spurs approach and not let him go. BUT saying that, I don't think O'Neill would have come to Sunderland if there wasn't a decent size transfer kitty available, cos he likes that. Might end you up in spot of bother in a few years time knowing him.

They weren't that much better than us. They deserved the win for sure but they weren't 4 goals better than us. I'd hardly call it "wanting it more" when even Everton fans have came out and said they can't believe how comfortably they won it without setting the world alight. They were industrious, not spectacular.

And it's frustrating because you look at the changes Moyes made and the players he left out and it really was a fixture we could have gotten something from. Alas, it wasn't to be. We'll take our medicine and move on to the game against Wolves.

But they have a cup semi-final coming up, so even the fringe players would have liked to impress. I don't believe Everton are as good as is currently being made out my the media, and their results, but they do normally have hunger to counter their indept ability to play football. I don't even think they have a better squad than Sunderland, but they are also in good form at the moment and sometimes the pendulum always swings your way when you're in good form.

Like a lot of mid-table teams Everton play to their strengths extremely well, they're compact, press well and work hard, at home in particular they're tough for better teams to play against. As I said the other day, Moyes does a very good job but he is overrated to some extent. The size of the club and the budget available they shouldn't ever be finishing lower than 8th, certainly outside the top 10. A lot is mentioned that he never spends money but their wage bill has increased huge amounts in recent years giving contracts to their better players. He also pays a lot for crap signings too, Bily, Yakubu, even Fellaini to some extent, he's a good player but £15m for is silly, they're never going to make much profit when selling him, if anything at all, and he's not that good that he'll inspire them to the next level. I would like them to win the FA Cup though, they do deserve some success and were so ridiculously unlucky when they qualified for the Champions League.
top 5 blatantly gonna be wolves, wigan, qpr, sunderland, everton and liverpool, man u, and chelsea to be in championship next year. only joking lol. Man u 1st, man city 2nd and wolves, wigan and bolton to go down.

I think Wigan should have enough about them to survive, anytime I glanced at the United match on Wednesday it seemed to be waves of blue shirts pouring forward every time. Hopefully their recent good form hits a brick wall on Monday though.

Wolves are gone, QPR I still think will go down and then one of Bolton or Blackburn.

I really hope Wigan stay up now. I dislike them as a club and they've had their time but A) I like Roberto Martinez too much, he deserves it B) they play some wonderful stuff, by far the best of the teams in the bottom 5 C) I want QPR to go down far more than anyone else, I hate everything about them and the way they've gone about everything this year.

It's too tough to call but Wigan have a fantastic chance there really, especially as they're the only one of the bottom 6 playing at home on the final day. Bolton's game in hand with Aston Villa will be crucial, the way Villa are slipping it's going to be a must win game for both of them. Wolves are dead and buried now though, I still maintain that sacking McCarthy wasn't wrong, but if you sack a manager who was failing (and he was, badly) you have to change almost everything. Nothing has changed at all and their best midfielder is saving a different club from being relegated!

does anyone know if portsmouth are going to survive (have they got a new owner).
Very unlikely I'd say, 58 million in debt and the administrator said they've not had any offers yet. They've still got another year of parachute payments but most of those go to the former owner... They're away at Forest on the final day of the season. They want to bring an absolutely huge following because their fans do fear it'll be their last ever game.
