Monster in Me is top 4 on the album for me. I don’t think I’ve been that moved by a Little Mix ballad before.

What do you mean? You sure it’s not just stuck at 4?

I mean the worldwide positions - it keeps on changing / deleting countries.

It’s 5 in the US and is number 1 in about 10 countries so far but it’s not showing them.

I’m really let down by ‘monster in me’, the clip suggested it would be an wxperimental number in the vein of ‘why try’ by ariana but instead its just a dated stargate track from 2005.

So i’m back tracking a bit as i like the song and after listening to the album. Its the only song i remember

After few listens, my highlights would be Woman's World (very underrated), Think About Us, Wasabi, Monster In Me, and More Than Words. It's such a great bold album ❤️

My early ranking would be:

1 Monster In Me

2 Forget You Not

3 Motivate

4 Strip

5 Joan of Arc

6 More Than Words

7 American Boy

8 Wasabi

9 Woman Like Me

10 Think About Us

11 The Cure

12 Only You

13 Woman's World

14 Love a Girl Right

15 Notice

16 Told You So

17 National Manthem

18 Cure Stripped

I think there are some interesting bops in the form of Joan of Arc, Wasabi and Strip (which is good when it finally gets going). I really like Monster in Me and I assume Think About Us will be released as that seems quite accessible. None of the others really stand out for me at the moment. There’s kind of a mid-tempo, doesn’t really go anywhere feel with some songs giving me early 00s American girl group vibes.

This is... not a good album. At all.

Strip is absolute trash. More Than Words is an overproduced mess looking desperately for a melody that never comes. I don't know how they're still making tracks like Think About Us at this point in their career.

Forget You Not is decent, as in halfway great but slightly lacking in production terms. There's a general air of cheapness across the whole thing really. I know their budget doesn't stretch to A-list producers or songwriters but Rita Ora keeps getting tracks that sound expensive.

The Cure is by far and away the best track here and surely has to be the second single. On balance I'm not disappointed because they haven't made a great album since Salute but this is not the tea.

A lot of this album is FIRE!!

This album is brilliant on the first couple of listens!

This album could quite possibly be their best for me. It sounds so mature and together.

Strip is a MASSIVE BOP but I absolutely adore Monster in Me and More Than Words.

This album is really solid on first full listen. "Strip" and "Wasabi" are probably two of the most out-there songs that they've ever done and I can see them both growing me on me a lot. I really like "The Cure" and "Monster in Me", probably two of their best ballads ever although the former tips it for me. "Forget You Not" didn't disappoint, such a huge bop, as is "Think About Us".

My only issue is "Only You" being tacked on at the end, it doesn't fit in with the sound of the album at all. It would have made sense if they'd included the acoustic version or the version that they performed at the Apple Music Festival the other day. I never got the hate for it that most here did though so I'm not that mad.

After a 4th listen all of the way through, I really think especially considering the length of the album, they should stretch to 6 singles and I've decided the single run should be:

Woman Like Me

Strip

Monster In Me (A great Winter Single)

Think About Us (Perfect for the Spring)

Wasabi (Extended Single Mix)

Forget You Not (feat. Ty Dolla $ign) LOL Joke, but probably a rent-a-rapper.

i don’t think this is a good record at all. the tone throughout is v severe? it lacks melody and isn’t cohesive at all...god knows what they will select as future singles

really disappointed

You're kidding, right? .. of all the criticisms.

There's literally about 8 potential singles they could opt for here.

Yeah their albums are usually very 4 great singles and filler. This is probably the first time where I can see multiple single choices.

Doesn’t have the highs of GD but has less lows.

Such a good album!!

I was nervous after hearing Woman Like Me and Joan of Arc as the first tracks from the album I was thinking it may not be to my taste but I was definitely wrong.

Really enjoyable album. On first listen American Boy was actually my favourite but I’m a fan of Wasbai, Think About Us, The Cure and Woman’s World.

It’s risky but I think it’ll pay off for them it’s good to see them do something different as well so huge props to them for doing that.

Listening again after work but on first listen I’m impressed

Do you reckon? For me, 'Wasabi', 'Forget You Not', 'Motivate', and 'Think About Us' are all on par with, if not better than the holy trinity of 'Touch'/NMSS/'Power'.

Honestly Jark is so dead on. Theres barely a melody on this album & feels very “loud” but not in a good ‘salute’ way. I don’t see many singles here & can 100% see why Syco didnt want ‘Strip’ at the first single. If I were them, I’d push ‘Monster In Me’ out as a winter ballad & then ‘Forget You Not’ as a third single then go away, relisten to ‘get weird’ and go back to making bouncy, pop music. I’m all for female empowerment but this record deels very Beyoncé / Rihanna leftovers.
