Posted February 4, 20187 yr A pretty self explanatory discussion really. Will we ever get Mollie King's debut album? Mollie has released two singles since signing to Island nearly three years ago but there still hasn't been an album release. She has confirmed she is 75% finished with her debut album which suggests one does exist, however not seeing the light day. Clearly shes not set the charts alight and Island are known for mishandling some of their artist on their roster, so there is potential for it not ever surfacing. Discuss.
February 4, 20187 yr I'm here praying but doubting. To be fair Island have wasted so much money on other artists already on big flops. If the album is already pretty much done then just release it and try to get some of the money back, I'm confident she would still sling a fair few copies.
February 4, 20187 yr Author I think she'd probably fare similarly to Una and The Waiting Game if she did a bit of promo but she wouldn't sell heaps. I'm thinking it is most likely not going to be released. I know she said there would be a third single around this sort of time but I really think any chance now is slim.
February 4, 20187 yr No, she would be better selling her songs and making money from songwriting. Either that or she needs to give up Starbucks and holidays
February 4, 20187 yr Voted no because it's nearly impossible to be optimistic with these girls anymore
February 5, 20187 yr oh I have given up hope... as much as I want it s badly, I feel like she’s gone down the TV route even though I think with Strictly she could have released in Q1/2 for low sales and snatch a low top 10 with 5/6k sales, if Una can get Top 30 then Mollie could 100%. but yeah I’ve given up hope now
February 8, 20187 yr I've voted No, because that's the most realistic opinion. I do think, however, that she might try to release a third single whether on a one-off deal with some sort of management company/sub-label, or independently. Can't see anything more sadly.
March 4, 20187 yr Author Her page on Fascination management hasn't been updated since Hair Down so this is still looking increasingly unlikely :(
