April 5, 20196 yr Author With Louisa out it's time for the.. TOP 10 of 2003 Belgium / Urban Trad - “Sanomi” (Runner-up) Croatia / Claudia Beni - “Vise Nisam Tvoja” (15th Place) Germany / Lou - “Let’s Get Happy” (12th Place) Iceland / Birgitta Haukdal - “Open Your Heart” (8th Place) Romania / Nicola - “Don’t Break My Heart” (10th Place) Slovenia / Karmen Stavec - “Nanana” (23rd Place) Spain / Beth - “Dime” (9th Place) Sweden / Fame - “Give Me Your Love” (5th Place) Turkey / Sertab Erener - “Everyway That I Can” (Winner) United Kingdom / Jemini - “Cry Baby” (26th Place) Now let’s go over the songs that made my top 10 here. We’ve got a few actual top ten placing songs such as Iceland, Romania, Spain and Sweden, along with actual runner-up Belgium and eventual winner Turkey. That makes it 6 out of 10 which is pretty good. The rest are a bit all over the place though with Germany’s gay anthem (12th) and Croatia’s version of Britney (15th) making the cut along with the hilarious Slovenia (23rd) and of course everyone’s favourite UK flop Jemini and “Cry Baby” (dead last IRL). Idk why this gets so much hate because it’s a legit bop lol. The quality is going up now in the Top 10 compared to some of the years we’ve reached this stage for so far but some of these might still go soon. As for the rest.. 11. France / Louisa Baïleche - “Monts et Merveilles” (399th) 12. Netherlands / Esther Hart - “One More Night” (421st) 13. Ireland / Mickey Harte - “We’ve Got The World” (451st) 14. Russia / t.A.T.u. - “Ne Ver’, Ne Bojsia” (469th) 15. Greece / Mando - “Never Let You Go” (474th) 16. Israel / Lior Narkis - “Words For Love” (491st) 17. Cyprus / Stelios Constantas - “Feeling Alive” (495th) 18. Portugal / Rita Guerra - “Deixa-me Sonhar” (505th) 19. Ukraine / Oleksandr Ponomariov - “Hasta La Vista” (513th) 20. Norway / Jostein Hasselgård - “I’m Not Afraid To Move On” (520th) 21. Malta / Lynn Chircop - “To Dream Again” (541st) 22. Austria / Alf Poier - “Weil Der Mensch Zählt” (580th) 23. Bosnia & Herzegovina / Mija Martina - “Ne Brini” (645th) 24. Estonia / Ruffus - “Eighties Coming Back” (664th) 25. Latvia / F.L.Y. - “Hello From Mars” (691st) 26. Poland / Ich Troje - “Keine Grenzen - Zadnych Granic” (719th) Next up, the songs that didn’t make my top 10 but did IRL: The lowest of them all is Poland’s Ich Troje (7-26) which is only 7 spots from being at the absolute bottom of my countdown. Interestingly their comeback in 2006 is still in. Next we have Austria’s Alf Poier (6-22) who I actually think I may have been a bit too harsh on but I’m still baffled this actually placed top 10 IRL. Norway (4-20) is next and wait this actually placed fourth?? #baffling Also out is Russia (3-14) but we all know how that ended.
April 6, 20196 yr Author Slovakia has had a tough ride in Eurovision in the short time that it's appeared. It only appeared four times and failed to qualify all four times. Even if we count its' (lack of) success prior to 1999 its' highest position was 18th in a final in 1996. Kristina has been the sole remaining player for Slovakia for 162 eliminations until finally now. A lot of people consider this one of the most robbed SF eliminees of the century so I'm sure some of you (Pavel) will not be happy to see that I sent her packing but I don't think any of the other three are particularly popular on this website. I personally would welcome a Slovakia return because more countries are always fun and I still have a hard time distinguishing between Slovakia and Slovenia and since Slovakia is about twice the size and population of Slovenia it's surprising that they haven't really wanted to be part of the Eurovision hype for so long while Slovenia has been in 19 of the 20 contests covered in this list. The average placement of Slovak entries on this list is 577th, which places it a fair bit higher than the other eliminated country: Monaco. 47. Slovakia (Avg. 577th) 48. Monaco (Avg. 635th) Edited April 6, 20196 yr by cantthinkofaname

April 7, 20196 yr "Leave Me Alone" = one of the best from 2007! Though perhaps that says more about the 2007 contest...
April 7, 20196 yr Author "Leave Me Alone" = one of the best from 2007! Though perhaps that says more about the 2007 contest... Hahaha it really does. I mean it's in my top half for 2007 (there's 25 songs below it from 2007) so I think it's safe to say I enjoy it more than most of the songs that year but still I don't think it's better than the 16 I put ahead of it (which are, for reference:) Belarus / Dmitry Koldun - "Work Your Magic" Cyprus / Evridiki - "Comme Ci, Comme Ca" France / Les Fatals Picards - "L'amour à la Francaise" Georgia / Sopho Khalvashi - "Visionary Dream" Greece / Sarbel - "Yassou Maria" Iceland / Eiríkur Hauksson - "Valentine Lost" Moldova / Natalia Barbu - "Fight" Netherlands / Edsilia Rombley - "On Top Of The World" Norway / Guri Schanke - "Ven A Bailar Conmigo" Portugal / Sabrina - "Danca Comigo" Russia / Serebro - "Song #1" Serbia / Marija Šerifović - "Molitva" Slovenia / Alenka Gotar - "Cvet Z Juga" Spain / D'NASH - "I Love You Mi Vida" Turkey / Kenan Doğulu - "Shake It Up Sekerim" Ukraine / Verka Serduchka - "Dancing Lasha Tumbai"
April 10, 20196 yr "Adio" I think is way better than middle of the pack, Montenegro's finest for sure  I’m still wondering where all the 'sweet people' have gone Edited April 10, 20196 yr by Moses
April 11, 20196 yr Author This is on some sort of hiatus now until April 25th or so as I'm going on vacation to LA and Coachella. It's possible that I'll post something while in LA but not likely so we'll see. Until then, the front page has been updated with current stats.
April 11, 20196 yr I quite like What If We, particularly the middle eight/key change, though the final 10 seconds of the track sound like they belong to a different song, or rather a breaking news bulletin.
