I've never known myself to feel such a contrast of emotions from song to song as I do with Donny. I've Been Waiting For This Night is in my top 10 of the last 5 years but Love Is Blind makes every bone in my body cringe. The cartwheel into body roll is simultaneously mesmerizing and repulsive in one go.

I shamelessly love Ireland 2010  Especially the triumphant beat on the final chorus after the key change. GLORIOUS.

Also I didn't get France 2009 at the time, whatsoever, tbf I was incredibly drunk already by song 3, at a uni Eurovision party... but since re-watching the contest 2 or 3 years ago, I've grown to love it. I love that haunting, plinky plonky instrumental and Patricia's delivery. And also the last seconds of the actual performance are GOLD. Classy woman!

I have never related with a single sentence as much in my life.

Nobody asked but Imma bring this back since I'm in my Eurovision mood again. Starting with eliminating all the 2019 songs that are eliminated before "My Heart Is Yours". Note: That's SIXTEEN songs out TYVM.

Note: "Siren Song" will be included as an honorable mention

I asked but I just didn't tell you I asked! The Eurovision bug hasn't hit me in 2020 yet so I need your help!

Can't even remember how Georgia's goes, but remember really not liking it. Also remember really not liking the Israeli entry too, though did actually enjoy his performance of it on the stage, and how much it meant to him. Both of these were certainly in my bottom 5 nonetheless of 2019.

The other 3 were inoffensive but that's about it, so I can see why you've ranked them poorly.

I will agree the emotion Kobi was bringing was quite cute but unfortunately the song was not.

bye!

LMAO. Hey at least it's orange! That's only the "mild dislike" tier and it almost made the Top 550! It's grown on me the tiniest bit since last year.

but tbh the NF performance was SOOOOOOO much better and I wanted them to go back to the white outfits and bring back all that extra quirkiness from João (the dancer) that he had in March on stage in Lisbon. satin dark green really wasn't aesthetically pleasing to the eye and made it harder to appreciate the song. and that's coming from his biggest loon EVER.

Yeah those outfits they wore in Tel Aviv truly were horrendous and whoever greenlit (pun not indended) them should be fired and never be allowed near Eurovision again.

With Roko’s elimination I have now eliminated every Non-Qualifier that did not make it into my Top 100 Non-Qualifiers. That means I have five new DNQ’s in the top 100 while five songs fall out.

Falling Out:

105. “DJ, Take Me Away” by Deep Zone & Balthazar (Bulgaria 2008) [460]

104. “Shame On You” by Tomas Thordarson (Denmark 2004) [454]

103. “Soldiers of Love” by Lighthouse X (Denmark 2016) [449]

102. “We Are The Heroes” by Litesound (Belarus 2012) [444]

101. “Partners In Crime” by Gerli Padar (Estonia 2007) [443]

New in the Top 100 (all from 2019):

Armenia: “Walking Out” by Srbuk

Hungary: “Az Én Apám” by Joci Papái

Latvia: “That Night” by Carousel

Poland: “Fire of Love” by Tulia

Romania: “On A Sunday” by Ester Peony

Omg. Forgot "The Dream" existed :puke2: can't relate to you at all on the vocal either, that was half the problem for me, just all round awful for me! Sorry!

I grew to really quite like the Belgian entry in the lead up to the contest, then THAT happened on stage. Proper rabbit in the headlights awkwardness, poor lad.

The Portuguese entry I wasn't really fussed with leading up to the contest nor at the contest, yet after the contest it really grew on me and I definitely wouldn't place it that low. Conversely the opposite happened to me with the Danish entry which for some reason I thought was a potential winner when I first heard it, but its twee-ness got to me in the end. Just no, thanks.

Scream > almost everything else from 2019

Three more songs to be cut today. Two from 2019 and one more from the rest to reach a nice number of Top 395. :)

Hints about the cuts:

- a solo singer from 2019 at #413

- a ballad from 2019 at #404

- a schlager bop from the early 2000s at #396
