Gary said in a recent Instagram reply that there would be news on America soon.

I’m still waiting to see about this Vegas residency! Think it’ll happen?

Closes the week out at Number 22.

Sales indicate 3.5k for this week.

Strong performance again - shame it missed top 20, but a good return sales and charts wise

So it seems like some European fans aren't too happy about the show they're getting - it's obviously not the full Odyssey experience, how can you fit a massive ball and dancers in a theatre, so cutting some numbers like Sure and Spin makes sense, but apparently they're also not doing How Deep Is Your Love and Said It All which were the B stage numbers, leading to a much shorter show.

Different band as well. And the original Pray (which I would've preferred to see in the UK). So really it's just a standard Take That gig, not much to do with Odyssey.

A further aside but how much has Mark aged in the last two years. Wonderland tour he still looked very similar to how he had done for the last 10 years, but he looks much older and thinner now. I wonder if he has a health problem.

Nobody with any sense would expect the Odyssey show in Europe. The venues are so small it would be impossible to replicate. However, I do think it's rather amiss of TT to cut short the set list. I understand that people have paid a lot of money to see these scaled back shows, so I think it's the least they can do.

I really to have to agree about Mark. He appeared very fit and energetic at both shows I went to, but I have to say I've never seen anyone age so quickly. I don't think the long hair and facial hair helps , but occasionally he's look like someone in his late 50's rather than mid 40's. Howard and Gary, on the other hand look very good. It's possible that Mark's alcohol problems may have resulted in premature ageing - although he seems to be having the time of his life on this tour which is lovely to see.

I don't know what others think but instead of doing small venues around Europe I wonder if they could perhaps have done one biggish gig in Germany and maybe one other gig somewhere else in Europe giving fans the 'full Odyssey' experience. It probably would not have been financial beneficial, but I understand that the UK tour has taken big money, and as things stand at the moment they're in the top5/6 grossing artists for 2019.

Don't know anything about that I'm afraid, I was presuming he meant for Take That.

Exactly. They're not doing LAHA either, I mean what's the excuse for that? Lots of fans feeling short changed.

He's definitely full of energy, but he posted a rather close up selfie on Insta and it struck me how much he's aged in 2 years. His face has lost a lot of definition.

I totally agree. I would actually love to see them in a small venue without all the productions. But I do think perhaps they should have openly stated that it would be a stripped back show without any production and ticket prices should reflected this.

It would have been nice if they had included not just the big show song list, but a couple of additional ones. They could have sung a few songs they've haven't performed before; that would have been a nice gesture.

The last time they performed a big production show in Europe was Progress, and let's be honest that was due to Rob's involvement and pulling power. As I said they could have taken a hit financially and put on a couple of full production shows in Europe instead of quite a number of smaller shows. All in all the UK shows have brought in a significant amount of money. Other artists on the 2019 live list have been on full world tours, so it's quite incredible that they've made so much from

just UK dates. We'll see similar impressive numbers for the SG as well.

Ya mark has aged alot recently as prior he always looked younger than his age but I really think his new hair style does nothing for him and maybe if he changes it it will improve how he looks.

Not to keep banging on about this, but the Dusseldorf crowd are not happy if Insta comments are anything to go by. Lots of people feeling short changed.

It's not a great move by TT to go about pissing off their European fan base (which is dwindling, let's be honest.)

I've watched the version of Babe from last night, they're not even doing the bridge at the end (my eyes etc), they're just stopping after the two verses and a chorus. What? No strings either, just the three of them. If they are paying the same as we did, they really are not getting their monies worth.

Here's the European setlist:

Greatest Day

Shine

Get Ready For It

Giants

Patience

Pray

Everything Changes

It Only Takes a Minute

Could It Be Magic

Babe

A Million Love Songs

Back For Good

Out of Our Heads

Everlasting

These Days

The Flood

Cry

Relight My Fire

Rule the World

Never Forget

Not sure how Cry and Get Ready For It are priorities on a Greatest Hits tour over How Deep which was No1 in lots of Europe.

It would be wonderful if it can recover a couple of chart places and secure at least 1 more week in the top 40 of the chart.

They performed Odyssey in UK and Ireland as the album did well in both these countries. The original versions make sense in Europe. How confusing it would be had they done reworked versions.

The European Greatest Hits Live setlist is 20.

Australia/New Zealand/Israel Wonderland Tour (2017) 22.

European Take That Live (2015) 21.

European Progress Tour (2011) 17. (taking RW solo off)

European Beautiful World Tour (2007) 17.

Nobody Else World Tour (1995) 20.

European Pops Tour (1995) 16.

European Everything Changes Tour (1994) 14.

As you would expect with more albums the setlist has picked up overseas. It now is on the 20 song mark.

It must be confusing for the guys to have to perform the songs differently for both tours.

I wonder which songs they dropped and included?

Jay, If you're referring to the European end of the tour it's my understanding that they've dropped Spin (not a loss in my opinion) SIA (one of their best songs in my view) HDIYL and LAHAM. I find this decision very strange and rather unfair to European fans who have paid a lot of money.

I also gather there are no screens at any of the gigs!!!! Although the venues are small compared to arenas and stadiums some of them have been a reasonable size, so for those not right at the front they're not seeing very much. No special effects aside from ticker tape. They are doing the original version of Pray, but my understanding is that they've cut short Babe. Although I loved the new version of Pray, the original is somewhat special. I also prefer the originals for HDIYL and LAHAM.

With the exception of Sure (while still weak) is the only new version better than the original.

Cutting Spin is understandable as i would doubt many would be disappointed.

Songs by Take That which were hits across Europe are:

Could It Be Magic,

Pray,

Relight My Fire,

Babe,

Everything Changes,

Love Ain't Here Anymore,

Sure,

Back For Good,

Never Forget,

How Deep Is Your Love,

Patience,

Shine,

Rule The World,

The Flood.

That's 14 European hits, all of which should be performed, then make numbers up with the rest.

Regardless of how we feel about a song across Europe TT are remembered for a string of hits starting 1994 - 1996 and then again Beautiful World era 2006 - 2007. Basically picking up where they left off.

Bookends either side being breakout Euro hit 'Could It Be Magic' and reunion lead 'The Flood'.

The ratio of European hits being 10:4 - 90's:00's onwards.

In the UK they have had 19 Top 10 singles and a whole load of other top 40 singles, so they can pick and choose setlist. Europe it's different.

Odyssey is on a slight improvement in today's midweek information update at Number 39 up 2 places from the Monday update.

Plus Sure. Which would be crap without the dancers, so understandable.

Howard's done tonight's gig with an eyepatch after he hurt his eye.

Also, great news about the Cardiff gig being released on DVD. I'll definitely be getting that - it was an amazing show.

I finally bought Odyssey - I'll post my thoughts soon. I'm probably 50/50 on the new versions.

Not the best result for Odyssey this week after last weeks high.

Odyssey drops 20 places at Number 42 this week.

It will prob keep falling fast now but its had a decent chart run so far and has managed platinum so it's a good enough improvement on wonderland.
