March 12, 20187 yr Ah! As I mentioned at almost precisely the same time as the reveal, that order is just about right for me. Still love both though and thanks for running this - you're right, it highlights just how strong a show it has been. Now of course it is time for us to share our own ideas for episodes. Inspired by the Lounge thread, I am totally seeing an episode where couples have to maintain their snap streak in order to prove their worth to each other and thus their worth to society as a well adjusted couple who follow the rules. One day Brade make it to the mythical 700th streak but alas Bra forgets to send one and Ade is annoyed - they are then triggered against each other and both try to hunt the other down as they know that both will be terminated unless one of them dies within 24 hours of a broken streak. All around them other couples are fighting it out and Ade eventually tracks down a distressed and scared Bra but cannot kill him - as the 24th hour passes both Bra and Ade feel the poison trigger and they wait in each other's arms before waking up in snapchat heaven which turns out to be the end of the test where both passed and as a reward get to permanently live life with extended dog tongues, pixified heads and a halo. And there ends my mishmash of many other episodes.
March 12, 20187 yr Yessss what a winner, not my absolute favourite but it's such an amazing piece of television and just such a stand out from the rest of Black Mirror
March 12, 20187 yr I also have another idea around people having awful lives and then decided to escape their situation by entering on online world and pretending to be a country entering a real song contest and then typing fictional histories and creating populations and flags.
March 12, 20187 yr OMG so glad San Junipero won, one of the best hours of television I've seen and its use of "Heaven is a Place on Earth" is magical. Almost brought to tears!
March 12, 20187 yr I would've had them flipped round, but I certainly can't argue with the winner as while it doesn't represent Black Mirror as a whole, it's certainly one of the most aesthetically and tonally beautiful episode the show has done and put it on the map in terms of appeal with the Emmy win, who knows if the show would've reached such a wide audience had it not existed? :o White Bear is srsly stunning tho, one of the most disturbing and excellent hours of television I've ever seen. I hate that so many things I see about it is that it's all about the fakeout twist at the end and the rest of it is nonsense, the twist really makes you think so hard about how you should feel - and how right is it the general SJW/internet angry mob crowd is in general. As well as being such a disturbing and gripping episode, it just puts it all in a new light and it left me with so many thoughts. As you say, it epitomises Black Mirror! Fantastic rate, thanks very much Klaus! Now of course it is time for us to share our own ideas for episodes. March 12, 20187 yr What a wonderful winner! I'm very happy with that, there are few other pieces of television that have affected me as much. Fantastic conclusion to the rate (thanks for doing this Klaus, been great fun to follow), and I'm very glad USS Callister has got up so high already, that was by some way the highlight of the most recent season.
March 12, 20187 yr I also have another idea around people having awful lives and then decided to escape their situation by entering on online world and pretending to be a country entering a real song contest and then typing fictional histories and creating populations and flags. there's a few very possible scenarios of what happens next version1: 10 years after the last bjsc Ade comes to lee wallace's bjsc museum where her lover Bra's consciousness was imprisoned and poisons him and flips the script trapping lee in a torture loop. version 2: silas falls victim of an experiment and now he's addicted to sending cheap songs. his addiction grows worse over time and one day he bans everyone and sends the cheapest song imaginable which results in silas falling into a coma with a sugababes-shaped boner Edited March 12, 20187 yr by ionderella
