I’m trying to think what UK TV dramas there have even been over the past year!

I hope Inside No 9 gets something but I very much doubt it :(

Off the top of my head, Born to Kill, Liar, The Moorside and Three Girls would be the top contenders but they usually choose way more 'unknown' programmes than what I've seen  It would be nice for Broadchurch to get recognised, Julie Hesmondhalgh definitely deserves a nomination at the very least.

I wish they included international programmes alongside the main categories though :(

Yesss for Handmaid's Tale, The End of the f***ing World and the Black Mirror dramas, hope one of them can win. I wonder if they'll finally give in to The Crown this year despite it's streaming origins? Chris Packham's documentary was one of the best things I watched last year so very glad to see that up.

Quite the eclectic list of TV moments

'Chewing Gum' is so underrated, would love for that to win!

Also happy for End Of The f***ing World and Black Mirror but I think they were always going to happen.

BAFTA nominated Jane MacDonald omg, Channel 5 will be having a field day and rebranding to Channel Jane.

That Stormzy Love Island nom is so cringy and desperate. It’s like they wanted to nominate Love Island because it was one of the most talked about shows last year, and it helps bring the attention of the yoof but there wasn’t a standout moment so they picked Stormzy to enhance that yoof attention because its what the kids are into. How can anyone say that Stormzy giving his opinion to some people is a must see TV moment??

Very happy for the Black Mirror, The End of the f***ing World (very shocked at any nomination, nevermind the prestigious DRAMA category), Taskmaster, Carastrophe and Line of Duty love and particuarly pleased for the Motherland recognition! And Sian Gibson who is AMAZING in Car Share.

wtf at Celebrity Hunted being nominated though rather than the normal show :/

The latest series of Hunted aired this year and the one before aired in 2016, so perhaps it wasn't eligible?

Airing tonight! Hoping for some Black Mirror wins but particularly excited to see who wins for Best Female Comedy Actress!

Really hope that Stormzy appearing on Love Island doesn’t win a BAFTA. Its a joke award anyway but I cannot believe a slightly famous person appearing on a TV show via Skype is in contention for a BAFTA

WINNERS SO FAR:

Drama Series: Peaky Blinders

Supporting Actor: Brian F O'Byrne (Little Boy Blue)

Comedy and Comedy Entertainment Programme: Murder In Successville

Mini-Series: Three Girls

Reality and Constructed Factual: Love Island

lol none of my picks have won so far, although Peaky Blinders is of course very deserving after a return to form fourth series.

absolutely GOBSMACKED Love Island has won a BAFTA. wtf is going on

Supporting Actress : Vanessa Kirby (The Crown)

Specialist Factual: Basquiat: Rage to Riches

oops at Blue Planet II not winning, that would be the one I would have put money on beforehand!

Scripted Comedy: This Country

wow at BBC Three winning two awards so far despite the absence of an actual channel! when will BBC Four

Features: Cruising with Jane MacDonald

Male Performance in a Comedy Programme: Toby Jones (Dectorists)

Wtf is going on, JANE MACDONALD winning a BAfTA?! Channel 5 winning a BAFTA?!?!

i feel like the apocalypse really did happen in 2016 cos we’re living in a very weird world right now

Jane f***ing McDonald and Love Island winning BAFTAs  Good lord

Must See Moment: Blue Planet II - Mother Pilot Whale Grieves

Soap & Continuing Drama: Casualty

Shock for the soap!

Entertainment Performance: Graham Norton (The Graham Norton Show)

Single Documentary: Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad

happy for Graham!
