Posted March 27, 20187 yr Lead single from Sigrid's upcoming EP Raw due out May 11 called "High Five", which was co-written by Emily Warren. From Music Week: Because the songs that she has released, for the most part, apart from "Dynamite", are more upbeat, more produced. We feel like there's a diversity to Sigrid that not everyone is aware of. Even the lead single ("High Five") isn't trying too hard to be a pop smash. It's mid-tempo, it's not an obvious lyric, it's unassuming but it's a banger. "Raw" is quite out there, quite different, too. Edited April 12, 20187 yr by Juan Carlos 🌴
March 28, 20187 yr "Raw" is good but not THAT good, so I'm hoping this new single is back to "Strangers" standards!
April 12, 20187 yr High Five is much like Strangers! Would be great for her to get another hit with this
April 15, 20187 yr this is such a BIZARRE single moment; it’s not exactly terrible but i’m totally confused as to why it’s being pushed as the follow up to ‘strangers’? this entire ‘raw’ ep is such a mistepping over-reach ;(
April 15, 20187 yr With Jake on this, can’t understand at all why these are the tracks being chosen to follow up Strangers with. Hope this is building to something great behind the final two slots on the ep but losing a bit of faith in the direction this is heading in.
April 15, 20187 yr I quite like "High Five" and "I Don't Want To Know" though they aren't as commercial sounding as "Strangers". I never loved "Strangers" though. I did love "Don't Kill My Vibe".
June 3, 20187 yr I feel like she's someone who'll have 2 or 3 eras of being relevant in terms of critical acclaim and selling healthy amounts of albums (and Radio 1 playlisting), but without single success. Kind of like Lorde.
June 9, 20187 yr This is SO good  I really enjoyed Strangers and this is growing on me listen after listen. I do find her presence in music videos so far a little bit cringe as per her stage presence, she comes across a bit awkward.
