This song firstly was performed by Rubic in UK national pre-selection for Eurovision.

"When The Kissing Stops", written by Martin Lee and Barry Upton of Brotherhood of Man together with their longtime writing partner Tony Hiller (who had co-written "Save Your Kisses For Me"), was originally intended for the group themselves, but they decided it would be best not to risk losing and thus not to take part; although all four members of the group attended the broadcast. The group did go on to record the song however and it featured on their album "Lightning Flash".

It was the one from the best UK pre-selections. I recommend to re-watch it, 6 out of 8 entries, all which were performed by mixed (female + male) groups are pure pop at it's best. Just watch on a songwriters list (Tony Hiller, Martin Lee, Barry Upton, Marty Kristian, Stephanie De Sykes, Paul Curtis, Guy Fletcher, Doug Flett).

That's rather nice actually, the Rubic version 👍Crikey that's a Who's Who of 70's pop hit writers, Des Dyer wrote and sang Jigsaw hits and also Who Do You Think You Are, which Saint Etienne covered. Jigsaw were the first pop stars I saw live in concert! Those were the days when the UK made an actual effort to get proper songwriters on board! Granted they were a few years behind the times in 1983, but songwriting was still needed for some acts.
