It’s pleasant but it gives me Relationship Goal vibes in that I feel I won’t go back to it after the initial hype. I am glad however she’s gone more country sounding than anything from TWG.
This is just below hair down in terms of shite

Which would still put it at second best out of all the Saturdays solo singles..

This is nice enough, it kind of feels like Saturdays slight country bop album reject rather than Una's sound to me, but I prefer it to pretty much all of The Waiting Game bar maybe Battlelines. I love country so should be much more into her than I am, but her sound is generally very "this'll do" UK country rather than matching up to the standard of US country.

This is so true for her approach in general - even the likes of Ward Thomas who are UK country and amazing come waaaaay ahead of Una’s country output.

Yep 100%! Ward Thomas could compete with the US crop, but Una is just kind of halfway there and it's no wonder she isn't breaking out entirely tbh

I'm actually a bit surprised that this failed to even bother the top 150 on iTunes.

I can't see this album actually bothering the top 40 especially if she has no label (Did she get released from Deezer?). 'Never See Me Cry' has managed 4,323 streams since Friday   'Stay My Love' has 2.4m streams :o Mollie SHOOK.

UK iTunes

NOWHERE

Promo will be non existent either which is a shame as it was nice having a performance of SML.

Video tomorrow though :D

Surprised that Decca seems to have dropped her to be honest. They're not exactly the most successful label there is, but I guess after the Brett Young single didn't gain traction they didn't see much point in trying.

If she's releasing this independently, then she'll be lucky for the album to go top 200.

I don't think they're that great for keeping artists on for longer than one album, someone correct me if I am wrong?

Video is out now!

I actually prefer listening to the song while watching the music video if that makes sense? It makes the song stick a bit more for me.
Yes Una! Very simplistic but affective video.

I think visually that’s the angle she’s gone with in terms of artworks and videos which are all simple and I’ve enjoyed all

I've been listening to this a lot since it came out. Wasn't really that hyped for it but this is by far her best solo effort to date. I just watched the video and it's pretty good too. The styling and visuals sort of make it feel like Una's answer to Hair Down.

She'll be performing at The Irish Post Music Awards whatever that is. It'd be amazing if this could actually chart in Ireland.
