I don't think anything will top Born This Way for me but.. this is second in battle with The Fame Monster. Two years on, I can confidently say that now and not have recency bias.
It's definitely among her strongest album. Whether it's #2 or #3 depends on the day. Today it's third, after TFM and BTW. I will always cherish how it brought joy during the worst months of the covid pandemic.

I am forever flitting between this and TFM for 2nd favourite album :drama: One thing that is for certain is that this is my PARTY album. I listen to it before every drunken night (like I used to do with Confessions On A Dancefloor)

I love this album! Still unsure where I really would rank it though.

As a whole album it’s stronger than ARTPOP and The Fame! And before I’d say it was higher than Joanne too but I’ve been returning to Joanne era Gaga a lot lately. I think as a whole piece it’s probably stronger than what Joanne is too as Joanne does have skips and I don’t think this does! If pretty much any other female besides Gaga herself it would be by far their strongest album and my most played album by them but our Girls standards she sets herself are so high it’s like ranking 11/10s when looking at favourites from her career.

Born This Way and Fame Monster are still peak pop era Gaga but I’ll always love this album! As an album itself it’s joyful and pop perfection. I just wish the era itself was more eventful that might play a part in my ranking tbf I do have the tour to look forward too but maybe the album was just released at the wrong time and we might’ve had more had it come either a year earlier pre pandemic or a few months later (but yeah the album itself is perfect) her most cohesive too as a whole piece I’d be here for intros / interludes becoming something she uses again in the future.

Gaga is now the first and only artist to score at least one album with over 2 billion streams on Spotify from three different decades.

2000s. "The Fame" — 2.070B

2010s. "A Star is Born" — 4.290B

2020s. "Chromatica" — 2.000B

Amazing achievement!!
