Actually I agree with you Mushy, I knew what was coming in every scene and I didn't laugh out loud at any of it, I only remember smiling a couple of times :( I was looking forward to seeing Derek in the new series, but his scene was THE most predictable, and quite badly acted too I thought.

Very poor second episode especially compared to the first one, I hope it gets better :(

Compared to first episode, last nights was sh1te  the nana was the only funny one imo in the first week it was all really funny but this week went really down i thought

Last nights was sooo funny. Some people complain about it being the same but she actually has a lot of different characters every week...its not the same sketch word for word repeated, it's different...that is why people like it, its no different to liking cathphrases like "have you had your tea" or "Doh" but people dont say they're repeatative.

It's actually funny that way and if you dont like, you just dont find it funny!

The fundraiser is flipping genius.

"Do ya know that every 38 minutes some poor temp bends down to put a file in the bottom drawer & gets shafted up the ass."

"REally, every 38 minutes?"

"Think about all those secreteraries who open their mouth to yawn and someone shoves a c**k in...if you dont believe it log on to the website www.bummedbytheboss.com"

So good to see Derek again too

"Just because a man knows the words to All About Eve you accuse him of being a reciever of swollen goods...Well I find you impertanent"

Last night's was the first ever catherine show i watched, i thought it was brilliant

GIMME A B

GIMME AN O

GIMME A V

GIMME another V

..You see where Im going with this...

But he just...

GIMME AN AM

GIMME AN I

I AINT Bovvered.

I think the Catherine Tate show is brilliant.

It is on its third series now & has a hell of a lot more going for it than the third series of Little Britain had.

I loved the 1951 Landlady sketches, coming out with the (now) racist comments. I have Uncles & Aunties who use the same language, so believe me it is accurate, and I thought it was a clever move using Una Stubbs (from 1960s / 1980s Alf Garnet's sitcoms - To Death Do Us Part / In Sickness and In Health) in those sketches.

My favourite character remains the Geordie fundraiser, whose character is even funnier when you know that Catherine based it on a certain Geordie anti-Land Mines campaigner who married a very, very rich British Icon nearly twice her age. ;)

when a comedian resorts to smut you know they are getting desperate for new ideas... tate has lost the inspiration that made her so refreshingly funny.

but it just ISNT funny anymore! it isnt a joke that is amusing past its second hearing.

oh..... i see, then of course you would find it funny, and it IS the first time you hear it.

Well I think her first and second series were as smutty as this. Her humour has always been a bit malicious like Little Britain, Ricky Gervais etc.

I can understand people not finding it funny seeing it again but I just do. I thought cheerleading 'Am I Bovvered' was fun enough considering how OTT the catchphrase has become but doing things like saying it to the Queen and accusing her of calling her Mum a prozzie was so bloody brilliant of her. I wouldnt have the guts to do it.

Its the final series, so y'know once it's gone thats it wrapped up. Nothing to worry about.

I watched a bit of it last night I think or whenever it was on. I couldn't believe how bad it was, a poor excuse for a comedy.

Everytime I'd look at the screen the character would be going 'how very dare you'.

Last night's episode was very unfunny. Even Nan wasn't as funny as usual. I've never found Lauren funny in the slightest.

Lauren is indeed a bit DEAD now.

She should have been done away with in serious 2 tbh, but it's like lou and andy in LB, shes the main person of the show

That was well funny!

Ah well each to their own I guess - I still find this programme hilarious (but then I have a tendency to laugh at things like this. I still laugh at Friends even though I've seen them all about a million times!)

Just saw the repeat and i thought it was excellent
