Funny that Sick Boy was a huge hit in continental Europe: #2 on German Spotify weekly chart, #3 in Norway and #5 in Finland... #14 on global level at best.

Now this is totally bombing compared to those numbers.. Highest position is actually from Finland on daily charts, #33

You are suggesting that in Norway for example 50-78-93-107-118-131 suddenly turns to 131-90-80-75-65-60-50-39-35-20 etc?

Just saying that as an example because in Finland for example the label has promoted it on Spotify since day 1 and heavily so. It's well placed on Hot hits and everything

No but we don't live in an age of instant hits anymore. Are you referring to Sick Boy's chart run anyway? This song is completely separate to that and hasn't had enough time to even make an impact.
It's been like this for ages and people still expect songs to peak first week

In some cases they do peak on release week (God Is a Woman for example), then there are lots of cases where a song debuts on an ok level and has a steady climb.

But for an act like The Chainsmokers who were arguably the biggest hitmakers in 2016 alongside Drake having a song that barely reaches top 50 in only a few countries doesn't indicate well.
