Presumably his announcement is more to do with the fact he’s taking a break from social media (which it makes more sense to announce) rather than from releasing music.

He's probably already written some that haven't been released yet.

I think it’s still ok if he writes for other artists during that time as he isn’t really in the limelight in those scenarios, rather than just the odd mention here and there

He’ll still be in the charts for the next month or so anyway as we have “Own It” likely to re-peak this week and hang around.
