Muse have announced their new album Simulation Theory out November 9th and released new single 'The Dark Side'!

 

A much better effort than their recent tracks! I wasn't planning on getting this album but if it's more like this then I'm in!

The Dark Side shows a considerable improvement on Something Human, Dig Down and Thought Contagion! Still convinced this won't be able to match the outstanding Drones album.

I'm enjoying the videos this era, even if they are clearly trying to cover every Sci-Fi trope in the book without much continuity.

 

I wish the chorus was a bit more powerful, it's a lot better than Something Human though.

The eleven-track record was produced by the band, along with producers Rich Costey, Mike Elizondo, Shellback and Timbaland. Each of the album’s songs will be accompanied by a video.

Two pretty solid singles in a row, colour me surprised! The Rocket Baby Dolls reference in the video made me laugh too :lol:

Absolutely amazing album! Not a single dud song on the album, and my favourites are: Pressure, Thought Contagion, Something Human, Algorithm, Get Up and Fight and Blockades.

 

Really love the synth-rock sound of it as well!

 

Something Human is a fun bop.

And Break It To Me coming in with that funky guitar line.

Those alternate versions on the super deluxe album are a very interesting listen!
