Oh good, I can safely share this radio program to my non-city dwelling associates.

I was clearly mistaken :o

(I don't know this song)

Fine Girls is one of the better GRM Daily released, but I still have no idea what 'Chief Keef, gang bang, that's gang though' means! :P

Chief Keef is another rapper and 'bang bang' is like his catchphrase. Why he says 'gang bang' instead is a mystery though. x

Waiting for another blast of High Hopes pretty soon

The BTS army sound older than I'd thought they'd be. :P

Fine Girl is just so nothingy

Yet to hear anything BTS aside that awful Steve Aoki one but I'm not expecting anything good

Biography

Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. He is one of the most popular entertainers in the world, and one of the best-selling music artists of the 21st century.

Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement. He released two further independent projects, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.

His debut studio album, Thank Me Later, was released in 2010, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, and was subsequently certified platinum. His next two releases, 2011's Take Care and 2013's Nothing Was the Same, were both critically and commercially successful; the former earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. In 2015, he released two mixtapes—the trap-influenced If You're Reading This It's Too Late and a collaboration with Future titled What a Time to Be Alive—both of which earned platinum certification in the U.S.

His fourth album, Views (2016), broke several chart records. The dancehall-influenced album sat atop the Billboard 200 for 13 nonconsecutive weeks, becoming the first album by a male solo artist to do so in over 10 years. The album's second single, "One Dance", topped the charts in several countries, and became his first number-one single as a lead artist. That year, Drake led both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 charts simultaneously for eight weeks. Views achieved quadruple platinum status in the US, and earned over 1 million album-equivalent units in the first week of its release. Its lead single, "Hotline Bling", received Grammy Awards for Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Song.

Described by Drake as a "playlist", the mixtape More Life was released in 2017. It became his seventh consecutive number one on the Billboard 200, and set multiple streaming records. A year later, he released a double album, Scorpion, which also broke several streaming records, and housed the number-one singles "God's Plan", "Nice for What", and "In My Feelings". It also became the first album to spend five consecutive weeks at number one since Views.

Drake holds several Billboard chart records; he has the most charted songs (186) among solo artists in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 songs in a single week (27), the most time on the Hot 100 (431 weeks), and the most Hot 100 debuts in a week (22). He also has the most number one singles on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Charts. Drake has won numerous accolades throughout his career, including several Grammy Awards, three Juno Awards, six American Music Awards, and thirteen Billboard Music Awards. He is the RIAA's top certified digital singles artist, having moved 142 million units of digital singles in the US. He is one of the best-selling music artists of the 21st century, with more than 10 million albums and 86 million singles estimated global sales.

As an entrepreneur, Drake has founded the OVO Sound record label with longtime collaborator 40, as well as a radio program on Beats 1 and a clothing line, both utilizing using the "OVO" moniker. - Wikipedia

Biography

Calvin Harris

Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), known professionally as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer. His debut studio album I Created Disco was released in June 2007 and it spawned two UK top 10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". In 2009, Harris released his second studio album Ready for the Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was later certified gold by the BPI. Its lead single "I'm Not Alone" became his first song to top the UK Singles Chart.

Harris rose to international prominence with the release of his third studio album 18 Months in October 2012. Topping the UK charts, the album became his first to chart on the US Billboard 200 chart. All eight of the album's singles, including "Feel So Close", "Sweet Nothing" and "I Need Your Love" reached the top 10 in the UK. At the time, Harris broke the record for the most top 10 songs from one studio album on the UK Singles Chart with eight entries, surpassing Michael Jackson. Harris released his fourth studio album Motion in November 2014. It debuted at number two in the UK and at number five in the US and became Harris's second consecutive number one album on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

Harris has collaborated with numerous other recording artists. His collaboration with Rihanna "We Found Love" became an international success, giving Harris his first number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. In October 2014, he became the first artist to place three songs simultaneously on the top 10 of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs chart. He also became the first British solo artist to reach more than one billion streams on Spotify. Harris has received ten Brit Award nominations—three for Best British Male and four Grammy nominations, winning a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2013. He received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2013 and at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards was named Top Dance/Electronic Artist.

One of the most successful musicians in contemporary British popular culture, Harris appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Harris topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid DJs for five consecutive years from 2013 to 2017. Harris runs his own record label, Fly Eye Records. - Wikipedia

Biography

Tiësto

Tijs Michiel Verwest OON (Dutch: [ˈtɛis miˈxil vərˈʋɛst]; born 17 January 1969), better known by his stage name Tiësto (/tiˈɛstoʊ/ tee-ES-toh; Dutch: [ˈcɛstoː]), is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Breda. He was named "the Greatest DJ of All Time" by Mix magazine in a poll voted by the fans. In 2013, he was voted by DJ Magazine readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". He is also regarded as the "Godfather of EDM" by many sources.

In 1997, he founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink, where he released the Magik and In Search of Sunrise CD series. Tiësto met producer Dennis Waakop Reijers in 1998; the two have worked together extensively since then.

From 1998 to 2000, Tiësto collaborated with Ferry Corsten under the name Gouryella. His 2000 remix of Delerium's "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan exposed him to more mainstream audiences. In 2001, he released his first solo album, In My Memory, which gave him several major hits that launched his career. He was voted World No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine in its annual Top 100 DJs readership poll consecutively for three years from 2002 to 2004.

Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be he performed live at the 2004 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Athens, the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. In April 2007 Tiësto launched his radio show Tiësto's Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and released his third studio album Elements of Life. The album reached number one on the Belgian album chart as well on "Billboard Top Electronic Albums" in the U.S. and received a nomination for a Grammy Award in 2008. Tiësto released his fourth studio album Kaleidoscope in October 2009, followed by A Town Called Paradise in June 2014. He won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his remixed version of John Legend's hit "All of Me" at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. - Wikipedia

Biography

Croydon rapper Hardy Caprio gained early recognition for his work when he was nominated for the Get Rated award at its inaugural ceremony (its aim is to celebrate new talent). Caprio grew up in Croydon, South London, as did grime star Stormzy, but he went to school in Bromley, a more well-off area of South London. His dual existence showed him that the drama he experienced in Croydon could be avoided. He began putting out his own music, which resulted in the EPs Hardy Season and The Hollywood EP. In 2017, he released the single "Unsigned," which garnered over two million views on YouTube. - iTunes

Scott: "BTS could be making their first ever appearance in the official chart tonight"

With the amount of times he's mentioning it, it would be a really hilarious troll moment if BTS didn't chart tbh

To be honest, I'm surprised BTS are so high as they haven't done that well on Spotify.

So who's out of the top 40 this week?

Waiting for another blast of High Hopes pretty soon

Hopefully the music video has propelled them into the Top 20 (if not definitely next week)

Skipping Michael Jackson on his 60th when he's still in the chart? Missed opportunity there.

Fine Girl is just so nothingy

Yet to hear anything BTS aside that awful Steve Aoki one but I'm not expecting anything good

They had a song in the last BJSC spinoff :kink:

'Best Life' a slight bop :music:

ZieZie triggering Joseph. *.* that's karma for you stanning 2002. :P

To be honest, I'm surprised BTS are so high as they haven't done that well on Spotify.

Did you forget video streams count?

Anne-Marie is one of the best popstars around right now *.*

For me she exemplifies what's bad about current pop music.

Did you forget video streams count?

Yeah, but I didn't realise they had that much influence. :P

They had a song in the last BJSC spinoff :kink:

They did too! Well I didn't like that one either :P

Example went past my house in a darkened window car this morning!

Yeah, but I didn't realise they had that much influence. :P

Worth noting BTS broke the first day YouTube views record! (Admittedly largely from overseas viewers)
