I watched this last night, and I agree, there are a lot of films in there too high or too low. How can The Birds be higher than Saw, The Hand The Rocks The Cradle and The Omen to name a few. I've never seen it but how scary can seaguls be? And although I've only seen about 10 minutes of the Blair witch project it was ****ing terrible. Really don't get the hype about it.

Down below are the list of films I've seen and they're pretty much in the order I'd put them, except Scream, that would be last. ^_^

2 The Silence Of The Lambs

3 The Exorcist

5 The Sixth Sense

6 The Shining

9 The Omen

15 Nightmare On Elm Street

18 Carrie

21 Scream

22 Poltergeist

23 Halloween

25 Creep

27 The Evil Dead

28 Saw

29 The Hand That Rocks The Cradle

32 What Lies Beneath

35 American Psycho

i was very suprised at Alien being at the top spot, it doesn't get much attention these days. Also if your going to have Evil Dead in that list why on earth isn't Night or Dawn in there?

not the best put together list.

the evil dead is no where near scary! I thought it was a bit of a cheap version of the exorcist. Just a very different story but the same character. I thought it was funny, dont ask why -_-

I just noticed childs play was in the top 10  There is nothing scary about a ginger doll

17 The Blair Witch Project

21 Scream

22 Poltergeist

23 Halloween

24 Candyman

27 The Evil Dead

28 Saw

These are some of my fav films from the above. The silence of the lambs and the exorcist deserve to be there ^_^

Childs play, not scary at all, the american wherewolf, creepy I guess. Nighmare on elmstreet  Brilliant films, never got scared once but loved the films overall

The Blair Witch Project. I think out of the whole films on that list that is one of the scariest films up there. It isnt scary, scary, it just makes you think and freaks you out I guess.

Scream, well it was obvious it was gonna do well, Poltergiest, average film, not scary.

Halloween  Saw ressurection last night, loved it and Im going to try and find the rest of the films.

Candyman  Out of the whole film, only the begining scared me, where she turns of the lights and then all the blood comes down from the living room.

The evil dead. Cheap, tacky, I think the characters are ripped of the exorcist but overall, great film and saw B)

So really, the only film that deserved to be in that list is the blair witch project if you ask me ^_^

Evil Dead is ok. Too much blood though, he's constantly covered in it or sliding about in it.

thats why I thought it was tacky, it was just gore every minute, once it started it never stopped.

Evil Dead is rubbish, it was funny when the tree raped that girl though.

I dont think I've ever seen Alien, is it scary?

DEPRIVED child :(

The whole Alien quadrillogy should be a must for every teenager, my friend first showed me Aliens (the secound in the series) when i was 11/12 and i fell in love with it  Sigorny Weaver is a mean mother ****er all the way through it  the aliens are the ultimate foe :funky:

It looked painfull to me  But it was really over the top imo

hmm I dont think I've seen it before but I can easily rent it out from blockbusters and take a look, but I NEVER find alien stuff scary

I love The Shining, it's probably my fave out of the whole list. :)

Do you actually find films scary?

i don't but that doesn't bother me, i love the Aliens series cos they're great films, not cos they're horrors.

I've got Alien on video, still haven't watched it yet! Or it might be Aliens, I don't remember.

either one is excellent top class films.

Do you actually find films scary?

only the blair witch project, but I could probaly watch it again and look back on it and think why the hell was I scared of that

If it is the second one John, is it not best to see the 1st film before it?

you could wait to watch the first if you want, the first is summed up at the start of Aliens.

Aliens is more of an action/horror cos they have military guys in it. Alien is just a sci fi horror. Both done by different directors but so it they have different qualities to them but still keep along the same story line.
