Yeh that's my point, considering his chart legacy over the last decade it's strange he doesn't get support.

The fact that he's 'mostly known for features' in the UK (I'm not sure that's true anyway but I can see why you'd say that) is a consequence of him getting surprisingly little support here despite his enormous legacy. Almost every hip-hop artist from the last decade or so has cited Lil Wayne as an influence, and he is an absolutely gigantic name in the US in his own right - 'Tha Carter III' sold a million copies in its first week there, 'Tha Carter IV' nearly did the same. I know he's never been as big a name here as over there but I did think the streaming impact of this particular album would be a little higher just because there has been hype around it for literally the last 6 years (similar to 'ASTROWORLD' except delayed even longer).

 

(btw I'm not really even much of a fan of Lil Wayne, I just know from following other artists that he is incredibly influential x)

 

Also count me as shocked that Logic album tracks have made less first day impact than BROCKHAMPTON did last week :lol: (though I didn't expect them to be particularly huge, and they'll probably hold up a little better anyway)
