Scott Weinberg writes: "What with "Saw 3" doing such amazing business over its first three days of release, it should come as absolutely no surprise whatsoever that Lionsgate has announced plans for "Saw 4" -- and considering what happens at the end of Part 3, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's curious to see where THIS sequel heads.

From the lovable horror geeks at Bloody-Disgusting.com: According to the Box Office Mojo Lionsgate has slated Saw IV for an October 26, 2007 release. We broke the news last week (here) that Joanna Daniel, the Writer and Director of the short horror film Red, is one of the lucky individuals working on a version of Saw 4 for Lionsgate. The plan is to prep up both Saw 4 and Saw 5 and have various scripts prepped."

Idiots.... <_<

Well, that's another franchise ruined by fools too concerned with making money and not having the sense to know when it's time to call it a day while they're ahead....

This could go on forever.

This could go on forever.

Yeah, ad fukkin nauseam like Friday 13th, Freddie, Halloween, et al all of which just completely lost their original meanings by incessant sequels..... I just dont get what the hell wrong with Leigh Whannel is... Why does he want to risk totally sabotaging his own creation...? The "Saw" films are a clearly defined trilogy, when you see the third one, you actually realise what and, more importantly, who (I wont spoil it by saying just yet by saying any more..) the films are actually about... Any addtions now are just gonna totally screw things up because then the actual meaning of the films will totally change....
