Wow at that Spotify debut. I don’t see it getting any higher but that’s impressive none the less. Physicals should save them this week, but I can’t see them spending more than 1 week top 40.

I hear a lot of comments like that but honestly, the only obvious similarity to Castle on The Hill is at the end of the chorus when they go "its my angel and me". I don't find those two songs that similar aside from that part.

i hear it in the chorus most when they sing "i've been searching for someone like you", sounds like ed singing the start of "driving at ninety down.."

 

i hear the "its my angel and me" bit too and i think it sorta shows that he's just sorta recycled bits here and there and so as a whole becomes a bit of a 'yer ive heard that before' song which is never good
