I'm obsessed. I love it and I'm so glad it's smashing, just like she said in the song.

A bit confused as to how this is doing SO much better than Tears did at first, when that had a huge build up, loads of hype and a brilliant video released the same day. This felt very cute little surprise release with some thrown together artwork and no video. It is slightly confusing to me, regardless of how much I love the song.

Agreed, I felt like it was a cute personal song - kind of like Demi's 'Sober'. I expected it to probably go Top 20, maybe even Top 10 but not to be quite this successful!
Also, though - I think any song that references a famous person's ex explicitly is like catnip to the public.
So she's confirmed the video for Breathin will be released this week, so it feels like she will be pushing both at the same time.

I had a feeling a Breathin' video was still on the way! Her label are telling radio stations to keep pushing Breathin' and not to playlist Thank U, Next, which is strange given the success of the track so far.

If it really stays this popular they won't have a choice I don't think. I'm sure there have been examples of it happening previously - Work From Home for example was only supposed to be a promo track. Then I think it happened with 'In My Feelings' more recently.
It's growing on every listen  There's something special about it, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm really loving this after a couple of listens (aka after my second listen). It's very chilled out and I think it's what she does best (after the bangers). It almost feels like 'Sweetener' was trying too hard to create this sound with tracks like "R.E.M.", "Sweetener" and "Successful".

She's just released the lyric video and will perform it on Ellen tomorrow so she has a real shot at her first US #1 next week!

Performance on Ellen can be viewed here:

She looked like she was having so much fun! I loved the fall from the chair as well - good on her for continuing rather than asking for them to re-start the filming. I'm not sure what the point of having Taylor and Victoria there was when she could've just had backing dancers but I guess good for her for supporting her friends.

I'm here for this being #1

The song is sfg and feels like a real personal moment for her. Maybe not a huge pop moment like NTLTC or emotionally significant like One Last Time but both of those were unfortunate to miss out on #1 to two monster hits. Whereas, there's nothing really big to stop her this time round!

Possible song titles based on the departures board in the "Breathin'" video are "NASA", "Needy", "Imagine" and "Remember".

If it’s out tonight I guess it’ll be midnight US so like 5/6 AM here?

Did anyone see the sun yesterday’s where it said an album was leaked onto Spotify under a different name but was quickly taken down I wonder if it was this album.
