October 12, 20187 yr I guess I haven't seen anything that far back, but I thought it was traditionally usually C-B-A climb? This whole debuting on A List seemed to come into play since OS sales came into play. Yes that is normally how the playlist works since the 00s, but back then you had a lot more songs appearing in the A and B lists as new songs, especially before the late 90s. Even in 1997 they still did A-list additions regularly, though by 1998 it was more of a rare occurance (but plenty of B-list additions back then until around 2001 when even B-list additions were rare). Example from 1997 A List Peter Andre - All About Us * Mary J Blige - Everything Boyzone - Picture of You Edwyn Collins - The Magic Piper Coolio - C U When U Get There Dubstar - No More Talk Embrace - One Big Family (Perfecto Mix) Gala - Freed From Desire Michael Jackson - History R Kelly - Gotham City The Levellers - What A Beautiful Day Lil’ Kim - Not Tonight Morrissey - Alma Matters Notorious BIG - Mo Money Mo Problems Oasis - D’ You Know What I Mean - EP * Olive - Outlaw Omar (Feat. ODB) - Say Nothin’ Prodigy - Narayan Seahorses - Blinded By The Sun Shaggy - Piece Of My Heart Will Smith - Men In Black * Suede - Filmstar Texas - Black Eyed Boy U2 - Last Night On Earth Robbie Williams - Lazy Days B List Arkarna - So Little Time Howie B - Angels Go Bald Gary Barlow - So Help Me Girl * Bloodhound Gang - Why’s Everybody Pickin’ On Me Bone Thugs n Harmony - Look Into My Eyes Meredith Brooks - Bitch BT - Flaming June Changing Faces - G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T. Cath Coffey - Say What You Say Bobby D’Ambrosio - Moment Of My Life Fountains Of Wayne - Survival Car Gene - Speak To Me Someone * Geneva - Best Regrets G Nation - Feel The Need * Alison Limerick - Put Your Faith In Me * Mad Moses - Panther Party Massive Attack - Risingson David Mc Almont - Look At Yourself No Doubt - Just A Girl Portishead - Cowboys Puff Daddy - I’ll Be Missing You Robyn - Do You Know (What It Takes) Sash Feat. Rodriguez-Ecuador Shena - Let The Beat Hit ‘Em Strangelove - The Greatest Show On Earth Todd Terry - Something Going On * Travis - Tied To The 90’s Ultra Nate - Free The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony Paul Weller - Brushed C List Airscape - Pacific Melody Backstreet Boys - Everybody * The Blue Boy - Sandman Damage - Love Lady Delirious - Promise Elate - Somebody Like You * Elcka - Supercharged * Grass Show - Out Of The Void John Lydon - Sun Mighty Dub Cats - Magic Carpet Ride (Club Edit) Mulu - Pussy Cat North And South - Tarantino’s New Star Reef - Yer Old Spiritualised - Electricity * Stretch ‘n’ Vern - Get Up! Go Insane! So in one playlist you had 2 females A-listed, Mary J Blige and Olive. Just an example
October 12, 20187 yr You say that, but then it did manage a new peak on the chart today and it’s climbing on Spotify (albeit slowly) Plus the video is still to come, probably this week for that.

October 13, 20187 yr Sad to see Paul Woolford out, thought that would've at least made B-List! But yay for Jonas Blue and for MK moving up!
October 14, 20187 yr Author Wow, I really wish their playlists were still this big! And this varied :( But yeah 70 songs on that playlist, that's insane!
October 14, 20187 yr Looking at that 1997 playlist makes me so sad. :( When you look at how restrictive today's music scene is in comparison.
