Anne-Marie has announced that "Perfect" will be the next single from her debut album Speak Your Mind.

From Twitter:

So happy to announce the next single from my album #speakyourmind is gonna be '#PERFECT'.

This is my favourite song to play live & seeing your reactions to it. All I want is for people to feel good about themselves & to know you are not alone in how you feel. Enjoy the song!

Perfect is a great choice of single, I expect it won't go down too well on here but it sounds like a surefire hit to my ears.

One of the worst songs of the year, those lyrics are absolutely awful! :(

Such a shame as I really loved 'Alarm' and 'Ciao Adios' as well as some of her earlier material but she's gone downhill so fast in my estimations with 'FRIENDS', '2002' and now this garbage.

Agreed, well I'd say up to Friends (don't get the hate for that, love it) and I did enjoy 2002 to a point but it was very front loaded for me, I enjoyed it a lot for a week or two and now would probably never listen again out of choice  The album fell really flat for me after waiting for it for so long, she just feels like such a basic, this'll do popstar. Especially with a single like this, much like the new Jess Glynne song it's really plodding and wannabe inspiring when it's really just a bit cringe and cheesy and soulless.

Not that I really follow her that closely, but wasn't 'Trigger' doing well on iTunes at the time of album release? I thought they would've gone for that.
Meh, much better tracks on the album; but "Perfect" seems to have caught a lot of fans' attention for its 'inspiring' lyrics. I wonder whether it'll do as well, if not better, than "2002".
so it's the exact same same same topic as Jess's Thursday
Why change the title to “Perfect to Me”? Rag’n’bone Man did that with “Grace” by renaming it to “Grace (We All Try)”
The production on this remix is even worse, it sounds like that Nightscreen thing on ITV2 at like 4am

Oh wow, how did she manage to shit out a song worse than 2002? Those lyrics. :manson::manson:

I can't believe she went from 'Alarm' and 'Ciao Adios' to THIS.

I forgot how truly terrible this song is, the lyrics make me SCREAM 'I wanna buy my family tickets to see Eminem, because my sisters loved him since she was like ten' 'Sometimes I wanna eat leftover mac and cheese' 'I'm depressed, are you impressed with my honesty?' 'I wish my legs were bigger, bigger than New York City' :')

What the hell has happened to her?! I can see this either doing absolutely nothing or her getting an X Factor performance, promotion and the basic GBP eating it up.

"Just wanna stuff my face with leftover mac and cheese" same babe x

This is definitely leagues worse than 2002, I don't think that was THAT bad (people were way too pedantic about the references, I suppose it was a bit trite but it's ok to lightly bop along to on the radio). I agree that the lyrics to this are just total cringe, it's not even inspiring, it's just saying the most basic hollow things about loving yourself/your body and turning that whole spiel into an utterly lifeless pop song. I bet this is huge though, you just know

I actually don't get the hate for the song and most of lyrics (the Eminem one is awful mainly because it doesn't make any sense for the song).

Let's be honest, this will most likely be a huge top 3 hit at least as big as '2002'. :(
