February 20, 20196 yr The broadcaster has made a slight change to the top two that end up in the super final. In previous years the votes have been reset and they’ve started on zero in the second round of voting, but this year votes from the first round of voting will be carried over. This should benefit Hatari as there could be an anti-Hatari vote in the super final which would probably hurt them more under the old rules.
February 20, 20196 yr Yeah this change was made after last year's fiasco. Ari would not have won if these rules had been in place as Dagur had more combined votes. Ridiculous that they didn't have this implemented already tbh.
March 2, 20196 yr Forgot this was on, so managed to find the livestream much later than expected :P Fighting For Love is a really nice song!
March 2, 20196 yr omg i was so focused on MGP that i forgot I had this stream on, yay at another good song getting chosen!
March 2, 20196 yr Author f*** YES!!! now stahp with this anti-Israel bullshit and slay in Tel-Aviv PLEASE This is my worry now, this season has been MESSY AF.
March 3, 20196 yr about time! after 4 DNQs I’d suggest this will be a 5th DNQ? Juries will almost certainly loathe it. Televoters will probably need to dump this in the top 3 for this to squeak over the line. I applaud Iceland for selecting some industrial S&M (I’ve just invented a new micro genre), but the WTF factor quickly turns into awkward and I want to turn the bloody thing off. March 3, 20196 yr Semifinal 1 is turning out to be a bit unpredictable outside of a surefire Q from Cyprus (a clear stand out in that half) and DNQs from Montenegro + San Marino having even never heard the latter's song lolz. With Ukraine out we have one more Q spot. It's going to be an interesting (and a much better out of the two) Semi.
March 3, 20196 yr If Hungary qualified last year with that song, I’m not too worried about Iceland not qualifying with Hatari. We’re already 4th in the betting odds after last night.
March 3, 20196 yr besides it DEFINITELY stands out in the entire contest so the uniqueness factor will play a key role. I think this might even please some juries. Either way it's on course to be Top 10 in the Final. Lets just hope they don't get drawn alongside Conan or I'll be MAD.
March 3, 20196 yr I was expecting something unique from their look, but oh my god I wasn't expecting THAT! *.* Sounds transcendentally beautiful and some very welcome variety. REVEL IN THE HATRED

March 4, 20196 yr Helgi deserved way better, I adore it. Thank god Friðrik didn't win this, going by what those televote totals in the semis suggested could have happened!
