Posted November 1, 20186 yr Katy has announced that she will be releasing a cover of the song "Waving Through a Window" from the Broadway musical 'Dear Evan Hansen': "On April 29, 2017, I went and saw Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, and was emotionally transformed forever. In my own life, I’ve struggled with depression, and like so many, always feeling alone in the battle of wanting to belong. That night, I was particularly struck by the song “Waving Through A Window.” It embodied the mental isolation I sometimes fought. So when my friends @benjpasek and @justinpaulmusic came to me and asked if I would like to re-record this song, not only to help launch the national tour, but to continue the conversation on mental health and all its complexities, I jumped right in. It sounds great from that clip and obviously her reasoning behind wanting to cover this song is deep. This technique has obviously worked for Pink just last week so hopefully Katy can have the same effect!

It absolutely goes OFF just before the key change and on. Can ah get a keeey chaaange! Better than ANYTHING on Prism, except maaaybe Chained to the Rhythm. I have been bopping to this since it came oot on me headphones!! She should have come back with this, or at least had it as second single. It is the type of sound, Perfect Illusion style, she should have gone for. Does anyone else feel though like this is her Goodbye song like the Spice Girls? Look at the lyrics - about stepping out the sun and finding who you are :o Other lyrics are aboot her waving out a window, ignored, probably as she is baking some sort of pie!
November 7, 20186 yr I haven’t even listened to this yet #oops been so busy/ill/tired last week or so :drama: I finish work in a couple of hours though so will play it on my way home 👍
