The Irish press are reporting that Una from The Saturdays is the top choice of the broadcaster to fly the flag for Ireland in Tel Aviv and build on the success of 2018.

Una of course was already a backing singer back in 2006 but maybe she’s all fired up and ready to take centre stage?

That wouldn't be a bad choice. Her recent solo stuff is really nice so if it's true and the song is anything along the lines of "Never See Me Cry” then it's something I can get behind.

Has RTÉ finally started to get it?

I think that was related to an article that went live and was then rapidly deleted so unsure how legit this is. Huge if true though!

If they got Niall that wouldn't be too unsurprising. He did a live album with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra recently which had good ratings on Irish telly last spring too.

Una would be a great choice too, I love her solo album.

Last years entry was really good diverse and showed love is love had a great meaning. So unsure what the thread title meaning is for.

I guess they will pick someone from Joseph's Spotify library
Can they just announce Una and allow her to have a top 40 iTunes smash.
I saw on Twitter that Janet Devlin has been confirmed
