November 4, 200618 yr We were young and naive.. and presumably we hated our dentists  Did you used to get Astro's? http://www.desirabledream.com/cadbury_astros.gif
November 4, 200618 yr You legend! :o I ADORED Thomas The Tank Engine when I was a little kid! He was like my favourite character EVER!!! The Animals Of Farthing Wood was absolute class. I used to watch it every day when I came home on BBC One (When it used to be decent)... loved it And I loved Lucky Charms as well, although my mam used to go off it with me because I used to eat the marshmallowy bits and leave the cereal  AOFW did get a bit dull in the 3rd series non? Guess that's why they dropped it - but I had the figures, the magazines, anything they released of it. I wonder what happened to Lucky Charms? They also got rid of all the old Munch Bunch things when they were PROPER yoghurts not fiddly mini things they had loads of different characters and gave away bicycle reflectors and stuff. Oh good times.
November 4, 200618 yr I had this video when I was about 5 or 6 that had loads of cartoons on it like Super Ted and The Shoe People. No one knows The Shoe People!
November 4, 200618 yr I remember Astros though :P The Shoe people ring a bell but I watched so many things doesn't really stand out :( Anyway I need sleep I've just got home
November 4, 200618 yr What about The Herbs? There was Basil + Rosemary, Parsley the lion. Bayleaf the gardener? I can't remember lol
November 4, 200618 yr  Did you used to get Astro's? http://www.desirabledream.com/cadbury_astros.gif No, but I do remember them. They were pretty short-lived, weren't they? :( AOFW did get a bit dull in the 3rd series non? Guess that's why they dropped it - but I had the figures, the magazines, anything they released of it. I wonder what happened to Lucky Charms? They also got rid of all the old Munch Bunch things when they were PROPER yoghurts not fiddly mini things they had loads of different characters and gave away bicycle reflectors and stuff. Oh good times I can't remember ever not liking Farthing Wood.... And those Munch Bunch things were very nice indeed. I can't remember ever winning a bike reflector from them though... I got plenty from things like Frosties, however  I have 3 Sonic The Hedgehog Yo-Yos downstairs (Sonic, Tails and Tony The Tiger) which light up when you yo-yo them! They were part of an offer from Frosties many moons ago where you collected so many tokens, then sent them off to the address with summit like £2.50 and 28 days later you had a very cool yo-yo. I remember whingeing onto my mam so badly to try and get them
November 4, 200618 yr Yeah I loved Spangles  they tried relaunching them about 2 or 3 years ago and it was a total FLOP :manson: I still call Snicker's Marathon's and Starburst's Opal Fruits etc And who can forget the cute Gollywog's on Robinson's Jam that got banned because they were supposedly racist  They should've stayed as Marathons and Opal Fruits!! And I remember my granny collecting the tokens for me to get the golly badges!! They also made Milky Ways white for a trial and left them that way.....ruined them!!! Now they've brought out Flyte bars which are just the old Milky Ways!!! I'm sure Space Monkeys are still around, although i've never owned them before personally. And maybe its age, but i've never heard of Spangles or Nutty Bars  Are you talking about the Rainbow Drops which are little coloured chunks that you get in a packet? Because they're definately still around.. they're gorgeous :P Yeah, they're like multi-coloured puffed rice?? Absolutely scrummy!!! What about The Herbs? There was Basil + Rosemary, Parsley the lion. Bayleaf the gardener? I can't remember lol I remember them too.....and the Flumps! http://users.aber.ac.uk/ruu9/flumpsfamily.gif...and Bod http://www.thechestnut.com/bod/bod.jpg Ahhhhhh, the good ol' days!!!!!!
November 4, 200618 yr What about things people want crazy for and you hated? For me it would have to be those wretched 'pogs'. Such a stupid waste of time, money and braincells. :smoke:
November 4, 200618 yr What about things people want crazy for and you hated? For me it would have to be those wretched 'pogs'. Such a stupid waste of time, money and braincells. :smoke: Agreed. A stupid craze i'm glad I never got into -_- The current 'craze' is Shoot Out Cards... what a waste of money. I work in a shop and it drives me up the wall. I can't get over the fact that some of the kids parents are willing to part with £10 just to give their kids a piece of card with a footballer on it that will be going in the bin this time next year when next season's have came out
November 4, 200618 yr I loved pogs lol, had loads of them. I can't remember what you actually did with them though, I was only about 7.
November 4, 200618 yr I remember Pogs back from primary school. After they went out of fashion I still loved them, so I somehow managed to get them back into fashion at school for a while. I also remember a bar from when I was younger, it was called Moments (or something?) and I loved it.
November 4, 200618 yr Oh, I remember Space Dust.....you can still get it, tho I can't remember the brand name...my kids love it! And we've had Sea Monkeys recently too!! Weird little things! Anyone remember Spangles, Nutty bars, Rainbow Drops? nutty bars were the most yummiest thing in the whole world     What about The Herbs? There was Basil + Rosemary, Parsley the lion. Bayleaf the gardener? I can't remember lol "I'm a very friendly lion called Parsley ......."
November 5, 200618 yr Author I still call Snickers 'Marathon'. Snickers is WAY too Americanised for my liking. It's always a Marathon to me. And Sea Monkeys - apparently, still available in ToysRUs, Woolworths and Hamleys. Great stocking fillers, I reckon.
November 5, 200618 yr nutty bars were the most yummiest thing in the whole world     :yahoo: I've never found anyone else who remembers them!!! Peanut cookies was another one...haven't seen them for years!!
November 5, 200618 yr Can anyone remember the old chocolate bars they brought back last year for a limited time? They were sort of nougaty inside.. very chewy, and I can't for the life of me remember what the hell they were called They were before my time, but the ones they brought out last year were beautiful. I could have sat and ate them all day! :P
November 5, 200618 yr Sea Monkeys came back 'in fashion' about 2 years ago I think. I thought they were a new thing though, I didn't realise they were retro.
November 11, 200618 yr Author you can get fancy Sea Monkeys tanks now, too...and water hydro things, kind of like a pump. How much are they these days?
