Having seen the incident it is unfortunate it spoiled Verstappen's rhythm but it's not really an issue and there should be no discussion at all

Vettel has clearly lost his mojo

great qual for Norris/Sanz

The end of year dvd review is going to be 20 minutes long isn’t it?

Annoyingly with 2 races on today I have to miss Road America and got stuck with that nonsense

pity about Norris, was painful to watch the last lap

was not a bad race imho kinda enjoyed it but I'm team Sanz so that might be related

The Paul Ricard circuit is absolute garbage, the worst traits of every track rolled into one. Long, sweeping corners into nothingness, oceans of run-off & barely anywhere to overtake. Bring back Magny-Cours.

Paul Ricard used to be great. A real tough circuit, it would regularly break cars, especially engines. Sadly, after Elio De Angelis was killed there they neutered it severely, even though the circuit itself wasn't to blame.

It's pretty hideous to look at now but a return to grass and gravel traps would liven it back up a bit. Always preferred it if the track punishes a mistake and not the stewards.

The constructor's title could easily be 'effectively' over before they head into the summer break.
It was over the moment Ferrari turned up at Melbourne having pulled the wool over our eyes during pre-season testing.

Just been reminded of this

Is this great racing or a slew of penalties?

Would be a slew of penalties and licence points taken away now. To me that was great racing.
but looks like Gasly's days are numbered, well not sure if true, but was reading online now how he might be replaced by Kyviat

Can't see that happening with him being replaced by Kvyat. If Red Bull were to replace, I would replace him with Albon not 'Torpedo'.

I think I'd go for Albon too. Although Kvyat has had slightly better results this year, he's a known quantity, in that you know exactly what he can do in a Red Bull It wasn't great last time and is unlikely to have improved much. Albon however, just might rise to the challenge up at the front and it could be worth the gamble.

The Dutch F1 commentator says there is a lot of trouble with rating Zandvoort as a grade 1 circuit for F1. Organizations involved are surprised by the state of the circuit and how much more work than expected has to be done to make it F1 ready.

Could this be the worst F1 season ever in terms of entertainment since..... 2002?

I'd argue that was better. By this stage at least 2 other teams had won races and pole position was much more open that year, especially with Montoya. Schumi didn't take too many poles that year so at least he had to work for it at the starts but yes that was dull

For me the single most depressing was watching Mansell utterly crush everything in sight in '92. Even Senna who was probably the best driver ever over a single lap only managed a single pole position and the Williams was so far ahead of everything else most weekends it was ridiculous. Nigel deserved his title but it was painful to watch. The last 8 laps of Monaco were stunning though.

I know '88 has its critics but the Senna/Prost battle was fascinating and it became probably the most intense rivalry ever
