July 27, 20213 yr Daisy Mortem or GARGANTUA seem the most attention grabbing from a quick listen to that lot - love the edgy vibes on the whole though.
July 31, 20213 yr Sorry for being late with the review! I have listened to them all and I'm quite impressed with the sounds of all of them. I love the instrumentation of the first one (Daisy Mortem). The style reminds me of HATARI's Hatrið mun sigra and it stands out this way. The style fits the somewhat "pretentious"-sounding vocal well. I think this should do quite well! Not as keen on the second one (Timothee Joly) though (more to do with my taste sorry :P ). Nonetheless, the production is epic and the style is unique. I don't feel like this will do quite as well but I could be wrong! I like the introduction of the third track (Contrefacon) that gives a feeling of impending doom, much like Wolfgang Wee's The Lobby Scene. The suspense is very strong. I think this will sound exceptional with a good pair of headphones. The ongoing suspense and buildup should keep people's attention and I can see this doing fairly well as an instrumental. The fourth one (Allegri) is a lot more mellow and less dark than the first three tracks, and in ways similar to the third track. I don't think it captures the attention as much as the third one though. The fifth one (GARGANTUA) has a strong beat and synth arrangement, which should stand out from the rest of the bunch. However, I could see it not click with some as it didn't quite build up. Overall, my ranking would be 1>3>4>2>5. Hopefully the feedback helps and me not being too overly critical! :) Edited July 31, 20213 yr by uhsting
