Posted January 14, 20197 yr Been listening a lot to this 2017 debut album by Scottish folk artist Gerry Cinnamon, known for his strong Scottish accent and lyrics that are real life. He's never gonna be top of the singles chart but he has a decent following. The song Belter at 12 in the Scottish singles chart! Anyone like him!?
January 15, 20197 yr I think he's great. Took me a while to get into him - initially thought he was just popular amongst Scots for signing in the accent and using dialect they understood, but his album one of my most listened to of the last 6 months. He's incredibly popular, sold out a 10 date academy tour in England in about 45 minutes - that's insane. I think if he releases some new music in 2019 it'll probably trouble the charts albeit briefly.

April 8, 20197 yr Author Wow didn't even notice that, how'd he get so high? Due to low sales? Belter looks like being the next release as it's Adele Roberts tune if the week!
July 30, 20196 yr Gerry Cinnamon is showing great signs to build success slowly with Erratic Cinematic. The album is close to 100,000 and without big chart impact.
August 1, 20196 yr I read an interview the other day that was very funny that he has so much material he could release 15 albums tomorrow and disappear and that he didn't pick up the songs for Erratic himself, a friend or someone did and he just accepted it

August 10, 20196 yr Author Wow didn't see that happening, def the big song from the album though. Bit disappointing radio 1 didn't playlist it after Sometimes was B Listed and it was Recird of the Week.
August 13, 20196 yr I did think Radio 1 would playlist this without hesitation. It is just great to see that if nothing more it has made the official Top 100.
August 13, 20196 yr Author I don't think he has a record deal which affects how much support they give an artist. Which is hugely unfair imo!
