Innuendo is a special song really, we couldn't hear another song like that at number 1 in the UK charts.

That Marvin Gaye is just meh, definitely not my cup of tea.

*cries*

Innuendo is absolutely class, always gets overlooked amongst their better known songs (despite it being a #1) but it's an epic track.

Grace Kelly will go down as one of the most memorable #1s of the noughties imo, I still really enjoy it.

Under Control is such a bland track in both of Calvin's & Alesso's discog.

You missed my 3 points for "I Love To Love".

I believe he's only including the highest voters on each song, not all of them.

The Christmas no.1 from 2009,famously finishing ahead of X Factor winner Joe McElderry after an internet campaign to stop the winner from being the Christmas no.1 for the fifth year in a row. It also broke the record for most downloads in a week. The single reached number 25 when it was first released in 1993 and Bruno Brookes played the uncensored version on the top 40 show on Radio 1 prompting 138 complaints. He was recording an ad for the next week's show while it was playing and was therefore unaware of what was happening.

The Police's first no.1 and one of many great chart toppers from 1979,it's possibly the best year for number 1 singles.

From 1997,the second of Blur's two number 1s. One thing it has in common with the last song, for me anyway,is a misheard lyric. It sounds like Damon is singing "p*** off" several times. In the Police song,it sounds like Sting is singing "a year has passed since I broke my nose".

Hmmm Blur's good era. ^_^

This is the most recent single in the first semi-final,no.1 for 5 weeks towards the end of 2017.

A few undeserved casualties there! Calvin Harris, Alesso & Hurts, Rage Against The Machine, The Police and Blur all that low?

I'm really gutted this didn't go through. I expected my 25 pointer 'Innuendo' not to qualify but I thought this one might make the final. It's another song from that great year for no.1s,1979,staying there for 4 weeks. The Tubeway Army name soon got dropped and subsequent records, including another number 1,'Cars',were released under Gary Numan's own name. 'Are 'Friends Electric' was a truly groundbreaking record at the time and finishes below the song by the Sugababes that sampled it.

Very disappointing that 'Are 'Friends' Electric?' has finished below 'Freak Like Me' but I guess we should have seen it coming.
