Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands 2019 began on Monday, airing every night at 9pm.

 

 

I am wondering if E4 are taking a huge gamble with this daily format hoping that Big Brother fans will watch it seeing as there wasn't a series of Celebrity Big Brother this month to watch on Channel 5.

For anyone watching it’s nothing like the series from the early 2000’s when it was Channel 4.

 

I’m actually enjoying this . Some real good mix of characters and personalities. People like Big T and Liv would have been amazing Big Brother housemates :P

Probably the only time it will be back, the rating for the last two days have been terrible.

Yep, it had a 0.9% share last night. They won’t be very happy with that! That’s like 1/4 of BBUK just a few months ago and even that was bad!

Ouch, awful ratings but I can't say it's not deserved. Really couldn't get into it, it just felt like there was no point as they didn't seem to be doing anything. It'd be quite good if there were challenges etc., but it was just that one Liv girl mouthing off for an hour :lol: It feels like they tried to cast it like Love Island but there just isn't the romance, chemistry and relationships a show like that has, it should focus way more on the competition and survival.

I loved the first episode - Big T vs Liv reminded me of Sallie vs Gina :lol: On a lesser scale obviously.

 

I think it'd be much more exciting if it was one overall winner, when it's a whole tribe and loads of people come and go, I do agree, what's the point?

 

 

I'm sure the earlier series, viewers voted for the Best Contestant and then the winner was announced in the Reunion Show?

I'm not up to date though, I'm up to the airport episode where Lotti comes to Tigers.

 

Sharks are the best island by far it's legit like good Vs evil 😂 I loooove Big T, Emma and Daisy. On the other hand I cannot abide Harry, Liz or Jamie at all.

 

Daisy is probably my overall favourite, she really reminds me of Isabelle from BB personality wise!

I actually really enjoyed this I think a lot of people slept on this and just assumed it was trash but it was actually really good imo . I would have preferred The winning tribe to be different instead though !

I can see that they are hoping for a 'Love Island', when Love Island returned in 2015 it was quite a quiet one, wasn't it and then it just kept growing.

The ratings I heard got better and ended up being steady the last week or so . I’m personally glad it’s coming back as I enjoyed it quite a lot .

 

Big T was my favourite in this.

 

Liv was horrific though. Like another Helen Wood.

It started off so well but focused way too much on the Tigers towards the end who were all the worst worst kind of people, seeing them win was so horrible :( I liked Hollie on the Tigers but that's about it. Sean was okay too I guess.
