I think the album will do well for them, they will pull out all the stops to a number 1 album and it should get decent opening sales, with promo etc I can see them managing a platinum album which would be a great result for them.

I think a number 1 album and platinum certified is a given! The album will be huge regardless of singles - between 300,000-500,000 by the end of the year imo.

There will be an acoustic version according to PPL

Better Man will likely bounce back in small ways and possibly gain an extra week or 2 in the lower region of the chart.

For an act like Westlife, it is still a good achievement they have managed 2 Top 30 hits.

And everyone must be forgetting they are on their 34th single in 20 years already while Incomplete BSB and Patience TT which were called as their comeback singles both in 10 years were their 16th or 18th singles.

Westlife did wait together longer than Take That originally so released much more material.

I don't believe Westlife will manage the huge comeback success of Take That.

Im not chasing a comparison on who is better argument as im a huge Take That fan and i also like Westlife.

I can’t see Westlife being as successful as Take That with their comeback. They don’t have anywhere near the same level of broad appeal but still have a core fanbase. Both singles have grown on me although hello my love is still superior as it’s a bit different for them and I would like to see them push the boundaries more rather than play it safe with tracks like better man.

Take That comeback was in different terms. They had a really good and strong song, but it was pushed by media and x factor a lot and was released in an era that not only streaming was out of the picture but even downloads weren't having that much of impact. Also they came in to compete with some acts who were in the scene for years, westlife, leona, robbie williams, eminem.. The rest of the US imported artists didn't have any power with no streaming.

Consider also that Take That are british while WL are irish, so the push and the attention is totally different, the same way Westlife are superior in Ireland and I assum North Ireland.

I appreciate your comments and take into account the music industry has changed since Take That’s initial comeback but Westlife are in a bit of a different league to Take That. They aren’t viewed as being as credible - they don’t write their own songs and are quite manufactured. TT started out that way but have worked very hard to establish themselves and overcome their initial image issues.

On its third week and still charting. Can safely say Lighthouse is still their worst performing lead single to date, only spent 2 weeks in the chart in the sales era.

The single has dropped out of T100 though this week.

Yes just like Lighthouse but we have audio and video streams dominant this time
They released the acoustic version on Spotify
feels like the same recording but with different instruments... thats the way its supposed to be for acoustic versions? :P

I agree because both are produced by Steve unlike the Hello My Love acoustic it was produced by Red triangle.

Anyway for those who are interested. they changed and added dates in Asia

Thailand is now on July 24 from 26. 26 now is the day 1 for Macau as the original 27 date was sold out in seconds. Thai ticket sales have yet to be opened. All other Asian dates are open including their 3rd date in Indonesia to be held in the biggest Buddhist temple in the world in Borobudur on August 31 which is far from the last date of the leg 2 in 10 of August. Maybe there are dates that are yet to be announced

Well the acoustic versions tend to be guitar based so I don't see the problem with this. Of course HML was completely different as that one was an upbeat track that got turned into a ballad, I wasn't expecting much of a change in Better Man that is already a ballad.
